My apologies for the delay, but the sign ups for the 9th annual Dokuga Holiday Exchange are officially open!

Quick recap: The holiday exchange is a secret Santa with stories and art being gifted. We have been running this exchange since 2008! All the information you need can be found here: Sign up guidelines

Please follow the directions listed there to sign up. The exchange email is dokugaexchange@gmail.com. If you have any questions, please fill free to post them here, email them or send me a PM.

Side note: As we do every year, we would love to have someone make a special fanart for us for the participation banners. If it is something you would be interested in, please PM me. I do apologize for not getting the banners in for last year, they completely slipped my mind, but I will have them done before this year's exchange is finished.

I've always wanted to do this, but RL has always kept me busy. Not this time! I'm in, LOL, fully this time around.

For those that have already signed up, you will be receiving your giftee name and prompts on the first!

I have a finished working copy of my art gift, although I was hoping to add more to it like colour and details. Unfortunately before I can progress further I have to fix my tablet. It's stuffing up in GIMP, so I'm not sure if it's a driver issue, software, or hardware.

Update - Found and reinstalled my original CD-software for my tablet. It's working again. >.> May have been a stupid driver issue. I am so not updating it. Grrrr. The driver can stay old and working, rather than new and buggy.

Glad things are working again, but please keep exchange stuff in the emails just to ensure neither of us goofs and ruins the surprise for anyone

The stories and banners are up! Unfortunately, we had some issues with people dropping out, but thanks to those that did participate we still ended up getting some really good artwork and stories out this year . Please check them out at Dokuga Holiday Exchange.



Next year I am going to be starting the exchange a bit early and starting the writing process early as well. I will also send an email reminder to anyone who posts on this thread, either before this post or after since a few missed the deadline this year.

For now, I would like to take a vote between two options for next year's exchange. You do not have to be a participant to vote...

Choice A) A round robin where you would only get a small summary of what happened in the story already. Everyone would write one long story that would be the gift for everyone who participates.

Choice An Avalanche of stories where you write/draw one for each person participating. ie if there are five people in the exchange you write/draw five gifts, but you also get five gifts in return .

Feel free to leave your vote here or you can PM me it. Voting will remain open until I start the signup sheet mid next year.

I think A or B is fine for me. I draw and write, so it's all good. I might get biased though if I can art again. So B later might appeal more if I kept the stuff simple.

Either one is fine with me (A or (the letter B--my "b" is being replaced with a smiley face). I personally prefer B, because I think it is easier to gift numerous gifts rather than having 5 different story writing styles added into one story.

For the artists that want to participate, we would end up doing a collection of art that would go with the story. Like say the first part of the story was about Kagome getting Sesshoumaru as a secret santa, the art prompt I would give would be him drawing her name. Then the next part of the story is him looking for a gift and I would give that as a prompt for the second artist and so on.

Sorry I didn't post it earlier but don't worries about artists being left out. Though quite honestly I kinda prefer B myself hehe.
