Yo. I haven't been able to get into chat for a while. I have tried Chrome and FireFox and it just won't load for me. You know how to get pass that?

Same here. Something about the plug-in not being supported anymore. Chrome links me to some explanation and a possible fix, but I couldn't figure it out.

Well at least I am not the only one. I tried opening chat in Opera, Internet Explorer, Chrome, and Firefox and I still just get that Plug In Error. I know I have the lastest updated one. I haven't been in chat since like April though so, I don't know if there is recent maintenance or something.

If anyone figures it out.. let me know... Ive been trying to get into chat all day cause i needed inspiration for a story and someone to chat fanfiction with... and it is Nano month so i figured someone would be in there. but no.. it told me it wouldnt work :/

It opened for me in Internet Explorer 11. It asked to update Java and I said "not now" and it opened right up.
I didn't have Mozilla Firefox installed on this PC yet, so I went ahead and did that, and the chat seems to work there too.
Chrome is still not supporting the flash, but those two browsers seems to work for me now.

Yeah, the "wonderful" software that is Java is needed unfortunately. If anyone knows of any viable chat software that runs over the web that is not Flash/Java I'd be interested.

Just so you know, both Java/Flash are considered high security risk by the browsers. And Oracle/Adobe just don't care about fixing them. It's a PITA to find any chat software that is not based around Flash or Java.

It's the same reason we had to get rid of the Old chat software. That one was Flash based. The browsers started getting rid of the plugins since the companies can't be bothered to fix the security holes in them.

In Firefox I was able to get in. There's was an "Allow this time" link or something like that, I'll double check exactly what later on. Then Windows threw an error about Java, and I had to allow it past that pop-up.

All in all anything that is Java/Flash should just be gotten rid of... years ago. If the companies would have bothered fixed security holes (or even just pretending they cared), it would be a different story. But... it's not, and the bridge has been burned and the plugins are considered high risk.

I actually think it was my computer, as I wasn't actually getting any kind of message or error. My laptop is prehistoric so I just restored it to factory settings and reinstalled Java and it went. It was operator error. But now that I am finally in chat I dont think Im ever leaving. lol. Just in case

it dose weird things with my firefox. After I load it once it just reopens the chat log in page in a new window. So I use Internet Exploder.

ppps: O__o Geeze the chat windows are noisy. I think I near jumped out of my skin everytime I heard 'Welcome' coming out of my PC speakers. Same for the bell/chime when I closed the chat window.

Sorry to revive this, but I'm having trouble getting into the chat as well-it takes me to a chatroom, but it appears to be empty. Does anyone know what's going on?
