As I'm sure you've noticed, things here look a little different!
Until tomorrow night, the fanfiction area is read-only. There are couple of little things that need to be ironed out, and I need to make additional replacements for characters that didn't make the transition.
Fanfiction should be up shortly, and everything other than the fanfiction area should be in working order in an hour or so.
However!
All prior fanfiction links are broken. There's a bot to redirect them, but most of the time it doesn't work, so I'll get that working again tomorrow.
If you're experiencing display problems, the first thing you need to do is either clear your cache or do a hard refresh (control+F5). Google Chrome and Safari may both recycle cached files that are now different.
This upgrade was a huge step for us. It was MONTHS in the making, and puts us in a much better position for handling our growth and offering users a better place to upload and store their work.
The major upgrades went into the fanfiction area, where you'll see a few options that aren't present on other sites, lots of filters and fun stuff, etc.,
Over the next couple of weeks, we'll be making smaller upgrades to the fanfiction area, like Story Alerts and Stats. There's also an upgrade/fix for Fanart in the pipes that we weren't able to make until we upgraded the Fanfiction area.
I will be posting another update before I finish for the night.

Part of the reason we did all this was because we have so much traffic. The good thing about all the work was it made the fanfiction area work WAY faster and use way less effort from the database.
This design will use less bandwidth, less CPU, and put us in a good place for future upgrades.

I feel so stupid right now. I deleted the menu item before I went to bed accidentally. How idiotic is that? It's back now, and I am thoroughly embarrassed!
Chat should be working pretty quickly.
Thank you all for the nice words, this is something I've worked for a long time to get going.
