Retiring from Sess/Kag Fanfiction 8 Years, 8 Months ago Karma: 57
Well,

I've thought about it and finally decided to retire from writing Inuyasha fanfiction. I'm just not that good at it. I think. After having not read the manga or watched the anime. I don't feel any urge too either. Others just do it better I guess.

I adore the characters, but I'm actually more into other fandoms, especially for writing.

I'll just be around Dokuga, but I'll probably stick to artwork instead.

Cheers.

Also all my fanfics for Inuyasha have been deleted, finally, from Dokuga with the lucky last being Forever in a Wish.

A shame to see you quit leaving, but understand that sometimes a decision needs to be made.

I see you still have your fictions on FF.net, will you keep them there or delete them as well? I really hope not since I've enjoyed your works.

It had to be made, although it was a natural close too. Quitting? No, more like a lack of interest as I've not watched or read much of the anime or the manga. I was never really a solid fan of the fandom. The irony is that I realised quite late that you really need to know the fandom you're writing for. For me for example it's a lot easier to write for Dragon Age, or Mass Effect, or even Jim Henson's the Labyrinth because I know each series inside and out.

Inuyasha, not so much, as I only got into the fandom and writing it after reading fanfiction by greats like Forthright.

The fiction I have written for Inuyasha will remain on FFNet. Others like Forever in a Wish and How to Annoy A Hanyou, as written, are only available on my AO3 page. Those will remain there too.

Everything else that I write out of Inuyasha belongs on either page not here.

I'll remain on Dokuga, but likely as a fan-artist.

Art is always easier than writing anyway.

It just takes more time.

I'm so sad to hear that! I love your stories and I always get so excited when they update. Ah, well. At least you'll still be around and you have the other haunts we can still find you at.

Besides, when you don't feel the drive to write something anymore it's always best to just let it go than to make yourself angry because it's not doing what you want it too.

But I look forward to seeing more art from you!

Aw man!! I'm just now seeing this. I loved your writing, and will miss it. Thank you for leaving the ones over on ff.net so us fans can still read them and enjoy them. Good luck on your art.

Np.

It was fun to be honest, since Dokuga actually got me into writing fanfiction, but as much as I like Inuyasha, LOL, I'd have to watch the entire anime to get a good grip on the series. My background in it isn't a strong one, so yah, until I watch it like crazy , I won't be writing in the fandom anymore.

Art, sure, it's easier.

I've only watched half the anime and the 4 movies, and that's enough for me to get by in my writing. I suppose I supplement that with information I find online and asking questions on this site, but it's enough for me. But hey, everyone is different. . I'll be watching for any art you post.

LOL,

Well I have watched 2 eps of the Final Act. It wasn't too bad actually, although I did cringe whenever the guys said 'Naraku', it sounded more like 'Narrator' with a K. I intended to watch the rest of the Final Act too. It's actually pretty good even if the pacing is Naruto-slow. I'm not sure if I'll be able to get by on 26 episodes, LOL, but I'll try. I mainly chose to watch it to get a better look at Sesshy animated for art reference.

Rin is so cute!

Aw.

Poor Kagura though.

>.>.

Naraku is evol.

LOL. Naruto slow. That's not encouraging, especially since I'm behind on that anime/manga too. I haven't even seen any of the Final Act, and I'm not in a hurry. If I need info from it I'll read a summary or something. Although it is tempting just to see Sesshomaru in action and hear his voice.

Oh it is! Sesshy I mean! His voice actor is good, although now I keep imaging Sesshy next to Geralt the Witcher from the Witcher games. Silver hair, fair skin, and yellow cat-eyes.

Geralt is just... witchier.

LOL.

They could be twins if not for Geralt's beard, stubble, and round ears.

Silver-haired guys.

If we love Sesshy this much it's probably a good thing his dad isn't in the series.

LOL.

We'd probably want a two-for-one deal.
