What Do You Look For In a SessKag Doujinshi? 13 Years, 12 Months ago Karma: 8
Yosh minna-san

I'm in a mood, or rather, planning to create a doujinshi but I wonder what the majority of SessKag fans look for in one? Of course, it's up to me to draw what I WANT but still sometimes you can't help wondering.

Do you guys prefer the plot to the art or vice versa? How about:
Action?
Adventure?
Humour?
Drama?
Lemons? (haha)

Please tell me what you think!

I think that the plot is more important, but if the art is too sloppy (unless it is intended this way) I don't want to read it.

And the best doujinshi have a little bit of all genres; however, I love to read humorous comic strip-like doujinsihi the most. Of course, works like Raindrops by Youkai Yume are outstanding. What I love about her style is the variety.

Maybe this helps.

And let us know, once you started.^^

I agree with Hedda... sloppy art is a turn off. I need clean lines and frames otherwise I get all cross eyed and confused. I've only read one that had lemons and although it. was. AWESOME. it didn't MAKE the story or anything. The plot has to be strong enough to stand alone. The lemon is a bonus, but not necessary. Id avoid a lemon doujinshi if the plot was weak. I AM drawn to angsty romances, however even those need some comedic relief occasionally. I also loose interest quickly if their are too long between each update. I get long gaps occasionally, but if its always many months between pages I eventually forget to check for updates, ya know?

Hey, where did you found that doujinshi with lemons, MoxyMikki???

And to the topic, I guess a good plot and nice art are a must. I prefer aventure/romance tempered with light humor to tons of drama and angst, but it's a personal taste.

In any good doujinshi I read, it has to have drama, lots of it. But, yea, sloppy art is a major no no. People won't read it if the presentation isn't good to look at.

Ah, I know this one. I wish there was a translation, because I can't read it. I search for one a lot, but never found anything.

I didn't think Karisome could stand without the lemons though... i think instant gratification was the author's motive. HAHAHA

No kidding! Indeed they have!!! It wasn't there the first time I read it!! Finnally I know what they say!!! The curiosity was eating me alive (ok, now I'm just being dramatic)!!

And having read it... I have to agree with Lucy. But nice story, anyway!

While I agree YoukaiYume's Raindrops is one of the more outstanding works available, it's rather frustrating when you 'google' sesskag doujinshi and it seems to be the only name that comes up. Have you been there? *laughs*
Do you guys know any more wonderful doujinshi out there in this vast cyber world, hopefully translated? I do not mean strips by the way.

ANYWAY, I'm looking for collaborators for the doujinshi. Details can be found at this post: Doujinshi Collaboration!
