At anime conventions they sell some doujinshi, though I've never seen this one. While it is illegal, the authors of these things don't make much money so why spend money to sue them?

It actually is legal to produce and sell fanwork in Japan, hence the popularity of doujinshi. They sort of let it slide here when the doujinshi get imported, and like Snowdrop said, at conventions pretty much anything goes. If you were to produce a doujinshi in the US and distribute it widely it could get complicated, though most people understand that selling fanwork is a labor of love, not profit.

Unfortunately, at anime boston last year all I found were Sess/Rin doujinshi, not Sess/Kag. I'll be on the hunt again this year!

I can tell you the name of the Doujinshi... It is called "Karisome". I am looking for the name of the artist, as I had it saved in an old email. I had actually found that doujinshi on eBay at one time, but the price is unbelievably steep... I remember finding that the artist also did a few InuPapa/Izayoi doujins as well. I hooked up with a big Doujinshi vendor at the last con I went to and they are going to look for it when they go to Japan in a couple of months.

I can email what few prints I have. I only have like 6 pages of it....if you'd like them...

Ok, I'll post them up on my art folder thing...I'll keep an eye open for the doujinshi too.

The artist is: Transparency
The title is: Karisome (A Passing Fancy)

I have enlisted the aid of my best friend to see if we can find more scans, or any other artwork by Transparency... I remember looking at all the other doujins by the same artist, and I am pretty sure that there was at least one, if not two, more Sess/Kag doujins.

I hope that the vendor I talked to at OniCon and IkkiCon is able to find it... I just looked at the date on the original email where I saved the info and it is over 2 years old now. The vendor told me that he sees a lot of Sess/Kag doujins, but he also told me that they tend to be the first to go when he manages to get any in. I am going to keep trying though, seeing as I have been searching for more than 2 years now...

Has anyone started on the translations yet?

Sabrina, the translation is on ebay for 25 dollars....but it's only text!!! I was about to but it--but they don't sell you the doujin--just the translation...which I don't need right now..lol. But I talked to them, and they'll get back with me when they get it!

Oh my god I have been searching all day for that doujinshi and now that you guys told me the author and name it has been easier to send a call to my other sites. everyone in the fanfic community is going to be looking for the story by the end of the day. I also asked that if someone owed the comic to scanit through to me. or to dokuga.com:woohoo:

i have been looking on eBay, and couldn't find anything regarding this doujin. I found another one done by Transparency, but it was Sess/Rin. May I ask where you found it? I'd like to check it out.

Thank you, Saholia... I had already checked that store... that is where I found the Sess/Rin one that I mentioned earlier... I never thought to check the transcript section... but now that I have, I see that they have the transcripts for the InuPapa/Izayoi one I mentioned earlier, as well as one other.
