FYI... The punctuation (comma, etc.,) always goes inside the quotation mark.

Ex: "I wanted to see how it works," Bob said.

"Can I go with you?" asked Bob.

But you'll find everything you need at that website!!

THAT'S SO FUNNY! I use that same site.

*nod, nod*

Great minds, they DO think alike, right?

It's the best on the web - well, that *I've* found so far.

Yeah, they do! *grins* There's been more than one late night writing session saved by that site.

I remember my English teacher in grade eight would always tell me to start of dialogues like:
Bob says, "-----".
She would never let us do it any other way.

My grade 11 teacher did not care. However, if we did try something, I'd see a lot of
"Blah blah blah", said someone.
"Blah blah blah," said someone.
or
"Blah blah blah?" asked someone.
"Blah blah blah"? asked someone.

I'm not so sure what I'm asking.
I guess..
What's the proper way to format these things in fanfiction?
'Cause I see something different almost every time.
I'm so confused. S:
