EDIT: I'm sorry to say that 'Her Voice' hasn't been updated in the last couple of months, but it's still beyond fantastic if you wanted to read it.

Also try out Youkai Freedom by InuLuna of The Moon, rated MA. This one is super duper.

I'm reading 7 Feudal Fairytales right now. It's epic, but I'm not really feeling the sess/kag romance angle so far due to Kago's incredibly annoying character. The story seems to be mostly about her anyway, but the writing and interweaving of traditional Japanese folktales is interesting enough to stick with.

I have to say that I, very literally, just finished reading this series and it's honestly THE BEST I have ever read and I have read soooooo many. I even cried!! I kept seeing the recommendation in passing, but thanks again for the reminder and link. If you haven't had a chance to read HotM, you absolutely should! I highly recommend it.
