"A Mere Digression" by elle 6778 has been completed. This has been one of my favorite stories for a long time. Why? It's well-written, and has a great plot. The spicy parts are done just right, descript, but still gracefully written. The thing that really draws me to this story is that it is based on the scene in the anime where Kagome has been captured by the poison master Mukotsu. He intended on making her his bride, and got teed off when she stabbed him in the neck with a pair of chopsticks. Just in time, Inuyasha comes to her rescue! But wait, it's not Inuyasha, it's Sesshomaru! Don't you love that scene? That whole episode? Yes! It could be the best Sess/Kag interaction of all. Then, when he told her he didn't save her, that Mukotsu had refused to answer his question so he had killed him for that, it was the perfect classic Sesshomaru in denial moment. Well, apparently elle 6778 loved that episode too, because the whole story starts with that scene. So, if you haven't read it yet, you have a big treat ahead of you. If it's been a while, you might want to re-read the whole thing. The ending is great! I wonder if there's any chance of a sequel....

Hooray--another recommendation! I love reading fics that are recommended by others because they're usually the best! I don't know why--but I can never find good fics on my own...of course with some exceptions... So THANKS for this one! **goes to read**

Actually, for me, it's a GOOD SessKag scene, but not my favorite. I think my favorite is at the end of the manga, when Sesshoumaru finds Kagome lost and saves her from Inuyasha. I loved that chapter - it had me sqealing with joy!

Yeah! That's the one. I got the title off my CD I made, and got it screwed up. Both are awesome stories though, so if anyone reads "A Latent Destiny" instead, they'll just think I was high when I described the plot!
