Everything about October excites me, especially Halloween!

My challenge to you is to take a modern S/K twist on a Japanese urban legend or ghost story.

Some examples include:

The Kuchisake-onna (split face woman)
Teke Teke
The Yuki-onna


There are so many other legends and ghosts to choose from, please have fun with it!

The only requirement is your tale has to be at least 1000 words.

Well, there you go. Hope you like it. 1238 words, I wasn't really all into writing it so it's not that good but hey, it's what I got.

I'm writing mine now.

It can be done however you want it. If you're doing a story, I'd love it to be 1k+, but if you're doing poetry you can structure it and make it however long you wish. A poetry entry would be neat!

Cool thanks, it's already up to 600 words, just wondering if I needed to make sure it went over the 1k; though I will still try for it hehe.

I've come to a recent realization that I really, really miss writing for this fandom I'm going to try my best to participate in this one! Hopefully this will get the ball rolling for me to write some of my other fics =_=

If the legend has to do with a place-can I write it where S/K go to that place and then write it from there?

Or do they have to be involved in the original story that created the legend at that place?

I learned that I cannot write scary, but I tried... really hard.

You can interpret it in any way you wish.

Example: I wrote a story a few Halloweens ago involving the Split Face Woman, and I brought her to modern times where she sought out Kagome for the jewel shards.

Just as long as it involves some sort of ghost story or urban legend it will fall into line with the challenge.
