Hi! I have been reading a writing book called "Writing Magic" by Gail Carson Levine and one of the chapters on point of view gave me an idea for a challenge.
So you, a writer that may or may not have written and posted a few stories, are probably familiar with your own writing style. You may write your stories in third person, focusing on everything Kagome does. Or maybe you write first person from Sesshomaru's point of view. You may not have realized it, but there is one way of writing that you are used to, that you use without even thinking of it.
This challenge is to bring you away from that, to make you try something new.
So the rules are simple. You have to write choose two of the povs (points of view) below or more and write a 200 word oneshot/chapter. You can make it into a stand alone oneshot or you can combine them into a collection of oneshots.
~First person(using I, me,we) from Kagome's POV
~First person from Sesshomaru's POV
~First person from the POV of someone else(EX: Sango, Miroku, Rin, a chair)
~Third person(she, he, they) with a focus on Kagome (Only telling what she feels and not what others do)
~Third person with a focus on Sesshomaru(Only telling what he feels)
~Third person omnipotent (Able to see what everyone is feeling and thinking.)
And if you really really want a challenge:
~Second person (You)
I don't think I have ever seen a fic with second person, so you might be the first! Extra karma for this!
