So, it came to me the other day that summer's here and I love writing/reading about the season. And then I thought about posting a challenge that reflected the season. The end result: The I Love Summer Challenge.
Every week, I'll offer up three prompts and anyone interested has until Sunday at 5 pm EST of the following week to post their entries. To pick up a banner all you have to do is use at least one of the three prompts in some way.
The rules:
1. Can be part of an existing story or a new one (drabbles, chapters stories, etc). The only rules are that new oneshots must be at least 2000 words long.
2. You can use one, two, or all three of the prompts in any given week and pick up the corresponding banners. All I ask is that you mention which prompts you are using.
3. I'll post each new set of prompts on Sunday evenings and give you an entire week to catch up. It's definitely more fun to play along if there's a time limit but you can still pick up the banners if you fulfill the prompts outside of them. In order to make it fair though, all stories must be done by the time the last set of prompts expire (Sunday August 30, 2014 at 5 pm EST).
I think that's it. If there are any more rules, suggestions, or things that need answering, I'll gladly answer them.
I'm going to go ahead and post the prompts for the first week and give everyone an extra few hours. The deadline for posting for the challenge is Sunday June 14 at 5 pm EST.
