I've been searching for this fic for literally years.

Kagome is a high school student in Japan who suffers abuse from her step father and bullying from her peers. Sesshoumaru is a long-term substitute/temporary teacher for English at her high school.

In the fic, when Kagome arrives at school, she changes her uniform just enough to stay within the dress code but also be different. For example, she pins up her skirt, unbuttons her shirt just a bit, and takes off her socks. Sesshoumaru tries to reach out to her. At one point, she yells at him, in English, in the middle of class. She explains that her dead, biological father taught her English and that she didn't actually need Sesshoumaru's class.

Needless to say, they start a relationship. At the end of the fic, the relationship is discovered. Sesshoumaru takes the fall for the whole thing and is fired. He returns to his ex-wife Kagura, which hurts and angers Kagome. Probably the biggest clue for this fic is that at the very end, Kagome finds a letter from Sesshoumaru that explains what happened and how much he truly loves her.

Unfortunately, I don't have much more than that. I read this fic something like nine years ago, so I hope it still exists, and that people remember it!

Okay never mind wrong story, this story is very similar in a way I read the one your talking about I have to look for it but don't worry ill find it for you because I know how you feel, I read a story called puppy love by miss kagura years ago I found it recently lol so don't worry ill find it, of anything read the one I posted you would like it

I remember that story well, probably because it didn't have the expected "happy" ending! You have the details of that story's plot exactly as I remember them, but I haven't come across that story in several years. I think it was on ff.net. There was a song, like in the early 80s, by some soft rock group, about a teacher/student relationship. Can't remember the title of that, but if I could, I'd search for a fanfic using that song title. I seem to associate that fic with that song, it had the lyrics "his car was warm and dry", I think...

Okay, that was Sting. "Don't Stand So Close to Me". I'll check ff.net and see if I can find a fanfic by that title...
