Here's what I remember:
-Alternate universe
-Demons exist
-There is a demon realm, I vaguely recall that there may be some kind of barrier separating it and the human realm
-Sesshoumaru is covered in a light fur in his human form and knows his flawed appearance disgusts many. Though none would dare say anything because of either his position, power or both.
-Because of this, Kagome is his only true friend since she doesn't care about the fur and still finds Sesshoumaru beautiful
-Kagome accepts his offer to court her
-Kagome and Sesshoumaru are friends in high school

One scene I particularly recall takes place in the demon realm in the house that Kagome and Sesshoumaru are staying in. Her time of month happens and she yells at Sesshoumaru from the bathroom and he has no idea what's wrong at first. So he has to go to the store to get her supplies.

Ah I know what you are talking about but for the life of me I can't remember the name, I just remember the summary used for the story. So I will post back when I get it.

Summary: Kagome finds herself homeless thanks to her rowdy roomies and has to move in with her best guy friends… and Sesshoumaru. The taiyoukai finds him self suffering from a strange combination of ailments, something his father calls simply ‘The Syndrome’. Will he be able to survive the symptoms so he can live to gain the cure?

Been a while since I read it, but I believe that was the one he had fur. Warning, it is MA so only read if over 18.

Thanks! I'm going to have to read through both to be sure. But after taking a quick glance I think The Syndrome is actually another one that I was looking for but didn't remember much of. It may be Hallowed Desire that I was looking for. Ironically enough, Hallowed Desire was listed in my favorites, or the author was, on my FF.net account but I passed over it because I thought the summary was different. *facepalm*
