Kagome and Sess live in modern times. Sess has survived until the present day. He lets Kagome live with him, and gets her pregnant (he doesn't know). Then he lets her see him making out with a woman in the kitchen. Kagome runs off and leaves. Sess doesn't go looking for her for a while, assuming she went back to live at the shrine with her mother. Then he finds out she didn't, and has a private investigator locate her. She is living in a very ratty apartment, and working as a night stock clerk at the grocery store. He goes to her apartment, and forces his way in. She is in despair, and in the process of taking a pregnancy test. Once he is in her apartment, he goes in the bathroom medicine cabinet and finds she has been taking antidepressants. She is very ill and weak. I can't remember what happens next. Anyone remember this fic? I'd sure like to read it again, it's full of angst!

the author is dryice02 on ff.ne but she only has naru and avatar fics there...she has this story posted in her livejournal and i left a 'review' of sorts there hoping that maybe some day she'll continue the fic
