Essentially, Sesshoumaru left Kagome. Inuyasha and their group of friends thought she tried to kill herself and are very protective over her. It turns out that she accidentally just cut herself with broken glass. On top of that, Sesshoumaru is back in town and there's a moment where he's spying on Kagome and he sees her wearing a necklace he's given her. Also, there is a flashback where the two were feeding ducks and he warned her they're going to look for more food from her but she refuses to listen and gets bitten by the duck.
