I am looking for a story that I believe is finished, but I never got to read the rest of it
It begins with Kagome and Inuyasha in a battle with some strange shadow army. They are allies with Sesshomaru and during the battle, Kagome sort of thinks back at how she and Inuyasha got to this point and how their relationship was that of awkward friends (my take on it). During the battle, Kagome stops the battling armies and when she and Inuyasha are in a meeting with Sesshomaru, Kagome tells Sesshomaru that she has a shadow "child" in/attached to her and she has its memories and knows that the shadow people were forced to battle and they need help going back home. The "child" seems to be in her hair, she constantly pats it and make remarks to the Wizard of Oz (we're not in Kansas anymore Toto, etc.). Also, when other youkai threaten or disrespect Kagome, the "child" attacks the offending youkai by stealing their energy/soul or literally attacking them and Kagome usually clams it down and pats her hair more.
Sesshomaru, I think Inuyasha, some guards, and Kagome go to the cave where she says she will able to send the shadow people home but she has to go in alone. While waiting outside the cave, Sesshomaru figures out that through her words and actions that she will probably sacrifice herself to save the shadow people and to stop the war. This angers him because he is Alpha of their pack and she is disobeying him (or something to that affect). He rushes into the cave and Kagome is kneeling on the floor, I think she was dying and her clothes were in tatters. Sesshomaru's instincts override his thoughts and he basically has sex/rapes her (since she is a bit of out of her mind and cannot consent), and he marks her as his mater so she cannot die.
He brings her home but the "child" is still attached to her.
I may be off a bit on some of the plot but that is basically the gist of it.
Anyone have any ideas?
