This story was such an enjoyment to follow. When you published the first chapter, I admit I avoided reading it for a while because the description didn't seem to quite float in the realm of my fancy, but thankfully I finally caved. your situation strikes a painful reminder of a similar event in my life, with my mother. I don't think the feeling will ever truly go away, I say this and I'm crying and its been years, but after some time it lessens and new memories help keep painful ones at bay but it still sneaks up at times and it feels just as fresh and raw.
