I enjoyed this chapter. I thought the action scenes were engaging and the moments between Kagome and Naraku were thrilling. I really felt the loss of Hojo through Kagome and I could see the stark difference between her resigned determination to use the marble before and her commit to using it now. It was very well done.

Honestly, I almost didn't read this, but I'm glad I took the chance. The loss of a parent is always difficult and heart wrenching. My mum passed when I was writing my novel, so I understand the process of grieving and not really having time for written word. But I promise you this, it may seem impossible right now, but all will get better.

Even though Hojo was an illusion his passing was still very real and heartbreaking to Kagome. You've kept Naraku in character. He is absolutely dreadful and I love it! He's a murderous bastard which makes his role in this perfect. I'm glad Sesshomaru sought Kagome out and embraced her. Those two need one another. They can do this. Together they can find a way. Hahahahaha at Inuyasha plotting to punch Mr. Savage upon learning he was trapped in an illusion. Kagome and Koga's drunken snoring antics where hilarious! I remember Kagome being a straight up perv while drunk. Now onto serious busines. Oh... my...goodness *gasp* you've handled Sesshomaru's reaction to the truth beautifully. What a heart-rending task for Kagome. I felt badly for both of them. Let us hope Shippo was able to help snap Sesshomaru out of his feelings of pride & betrayal. He allowed her to melt his icy walls. He let her into the frozen abyss of his heart. It is understandable he feels slighted -- possibly even hurt. A definite intense interaction between Miko & Daiyokai. The Thunder Brothers have made an appearance and are armed. Uh oh...

Oh hun I'm sorry for your loss. Know we are here if you need support and don't worry about taking too long on your stories. Grieve as long as you need to and as usual your story is a joy to read.

Oh sweetie! I am so sorry about the loss of you mom; I know it can be hard as mine passed away years ago too. Please don't think me too forward, but you shall be in my thoughts and prayers. Do what you feel is right in your time and it will eventually fall into place; that can be said in real life as well as here.
