I'm kind of surprised Inuyasha and Inari were so mad, like really? Of course he's not going to approve a mating if it's going to result in a war that will probably be impossible to win. That's ridiculous. I'm also kinda disappointed that one second after the first drama ended the second one started, with no fluff or anything in between :( Anyways, this isn't meant to be a flame or anything! I love this story and hope you update soon! :)

Fasinating...that's the only word I can come up with for what Kagome has done for those she holds close in her heart. Yes, Ryou needs to come back into the world he fought in for so long and fight to protect the west, the peace between races and species, but most of all, protect Kagome for all she has done not only for him but for Youkai Society. She is a precious being from a world that knows hardship and war, racism and hate, equality and the ongoing fight for peace among Earth's people. She will be a new beginning for the west and every part of Nippon as they see it through to becoming Japan.

And Kagome needs to go back to the Western Palace and face Sesshoumaru and do for him what she did for InuYasha, Ryou and all those she has shown love and acceptance to. Loving is a new experience for Sesshoumaru and all he has is his Inu instinct to go by. He needs to be sat down in their peaceful place in the garden, empty the palace of all non essential persons and talk through what has happened and what they feel for one another. She'll need to secure him to know that she can handle his position in life and that she will stand by him even if she doesn't necessarily like or agree with his decisions because that is what a loving couple do for each other and that she will also always give him her opinion because she is from a world with equality between the sexes but that in the end she knows that he is the Lord and ruler and will always try to abide by his word. Because we all know Kagome will always do what she feels she has to do even though there will be consciquences when she does wrong.

Great work. It keeps me intrigued to read more and there must be a squel if this is almost over. Even if it's a brief ficlet to show us how their life together has turned out.   JEN

Hm perhaps Ryou won't fall in love with Kagome in a lover way, but a peternal way. In some stories, Inuyasha's affection was like Ryou's but Inuyasha saw her as a pack sister, someone very close to him. Maybe Ryou will be the same. Kagome does have a way of attracting all types of beings to her and befriending them. She's changed the way some of the ranks act now just by being herself.

I am very curious about this new threat though. Wonder if it truly is a new threat or a threat that merely antagonized Kura into action and now that Kura is dead, this threat will be the last threat to Kagome and Sesshomaru.
I bet Inari is missing Inuyasha too. Poor lovers.....Kagome and Inuyasha seperated from the ones they loved for so long.
But maybe with the time spent apart, Sesshomaru will discover that there is a shred of hope - he's tried to protect Kagome and stop her from doing crazy things and endangering herself before - which she blatantly ignored - so maybe he will have hope until she returns to tell him whats in her heart.

This was such a good chapter!! Ohmeegsohd. The emotion that you mangaged to pack into it and light you managed to bring out of Kagome... I wonder if Sesshoumaru can even function right now. I think the bond you are showing between friends and love is amazing. I can't wait to see what happens next and now with this new threat can't wait to see the sequel (hint hint wink wink) :)

I m scared i don't think sessho's state would be good without kags he still thinks she fears him or something. .. you need to return to him as soon as possible i hope ryou returns with you too i also knew ryou will likely end up loving kag who wouldn't right ?

I am so mad at Kagome. She needs a reality. LIKE A SERIOUS ONE. At the moment I feel like she does not deserve Sesshomeru. Like at all. She KNOWS that he is in pain and burdened by guilt among other things but she still chooses to stay weeks away from Sesshomeru while she makes sure that her friend is ok. So basically friend>>>>> future mate. Am I the only one that thinks thats royally fucked up? She could have just as easy sorted out things with Sesshomeru first. Sent a letter via Inuyasha. Something! But no she sits at her friends place and simply looks to the west. Even when Sesshomeru's pain is mentioned her response are lackluster at best. Personally not only does she owe Sesshomeru a HUGE sorry she also needs to prove that he worth something to her like more than friends. Cause right now I think Sesshomeru cares way more for Kagome then she does. There is nothing distiguishing him from her friends. Not really. I dont think she even understands the depth of mating. Just Arge ffs Kagome get your sit together. She should have a run in with Sesshomeru's mom and momma should lay it on her! See needs a prospective shift. Just oooo kagome do better.

I am really upset with Kagome!  She cares so much for her friend, but not for the male she loves?  Not a word to him, no concern for what he had to go through not knowing if she would survive?  I don't think she has given him nearly the thought that she should.  I feel so sorry for Sesshoumaru!  How he must be suffering.  How can she say that she loves and cherishes him so and do this!  I want him to be distant from her not just because of his guilt but for her choice to stay so long with no words to him at all.  At least someone needs to take up for Sesshoumaru, hopefully his mother will come through for me.  She knows his past, this can't help but affect him deeply.

You can't leave me hanging like that!!!!
