. . . Okay. I'll admit that I hoped (for selfish and unrealistic reasons) that this story would have a happy ending (maybe it will maybe it won't). However I would be okay (slightly bitter but okay) with Sesshomaru finding happiness with someone else. 

Here are some possibilities that I have rolling around in my head:

1. Last-minute-Miracle Theory: I noticed that Tashio and Midoriko brought up the unseen character, Kami-sama before and after Kagome's death. Blaming him for her fate. Questioning his reasons. Will Kami-sama intervene? Will a miracle happen?

2. No Body, No Death Theory: We never actually saw Kagome die. She just kind of disappeared. . . okay so she was kind of obliterated (or was she???). What if she pops back up in the future, but couldn't go back through the well? Sesshoumaru wouldn't be aware of that yet since he just saw her leave for the "last" time. Will they meet again?

3. Reincarnation Theory: a couple decades or centuries will pass again and Sesshoumaru willl run into Kagome's reincarnation (probably Souta's grand or great grand-daughter etc.)...

4. Till Death do Us Part (and then together again) Theory: I think Sesshomaru is too honorable to kill himself. Maybe he will live his life watching over rin and her children, maybe he will sire an heir, but he just waits until his end is near so he can see kagome again.

5. Plot twist Theory: I have no idea what will happen and it's going to blow my mind.

However this story ends, whether it makes me happy, sad, or both, I just want you to know that I enjoyed it to the fullest. Writing is an art, and you are an amazing artist.

who ever said that love hurts had this chapter and the image of Sesshomaru suffering for Kagome in mind!!! the hurt of unfullfileed love is very palpable in this champer, and it really hurts to see that not even time has manage to aliviate the pain he has been suffering for losing his beloved Kagome. The questiion is, what will he do now that he has lost her for the second time?? I really hope that everything turns out for the better, and eventhough I would love for a happy ending (like many of us lol) I know that whatever you have plan, will be nothing short of awesome!! I am definitely looking forward to the next chapter. oh, and like always; Thank you for the great chapter :)

Ugh I can't believe he just let her go like that.

No, I mean I totally understand WHY he did but still I wish I could leap into the screen (and the story) and just strangle him for just letting her go. Its all very poignant and touching simultaneously. Him letting her go just proves how much he loves and understands her because we all know deep down she wouldn't have allowed herself not to go and help her friends and whatnot; the old saying goes if you really love someone you have to let them go (I think that is how it is said anyway) but still...how painful. So this mean there is no more second chance right? She is truly dead now. At least that is how I felt when reading the chapter. Honestly I feel like a part of me died with Kagome once Sesshoumaru and Takashi watched her jump down that well. I can't help it, I've been following this fantastic story from the beginning and I hate to see your wonderful character development of Kagome snuffed out. Part of me is still keeping hope alive however that through some kind of miracle they can be with each other again.

Although it was heartbreaking, seeing as how Kagome's death has degenerated their already frayed relationship even more, I loved your appearance of Inuyasha into the heavy scene. You made Inuyasha's reaction very realstic and it makes sense why he is acting the way he is towards Sesshoumaru. However Takashi telling Sesshoumaru to move on made me feel uneasy - actually I more wanted to leap into the story once more and strangle someone else (not Sesshoumaru this time obviously). That makes sense as well though...it has been centuries and Takashi would want his family member to be happy and he seems to have gotten over Kagome along the way, at least his romantic feelings for her. Even though you have given us another wonderful chapter you are still killing me. Its like I'm living through Sesshoumaru's own pain and its driving me nuts. I only have solace in the fact that you are planning to make another chapter! I'm dying to see what happens next. On one last note- though this was another heartbreaking chapter I enjoyed the light moments you put towards the end with Rin and Shippou, it warmed me a bit to see at least those two are happy.

Anyway quit breaking my heart! Well done once more and I'm looking forward to chapter 29. As usual I have faith in you (No pressure). Cheers~

I'm glad he didn't keep her from going back to the past, even if this chapter broke my heart. Cannot wait for the next chapter. 

Poor Sesshoumaru.... I love the internal conflict the characters are battling. Can't wait for more!

But I love how even as hopeless as Sesshomaru feels, he has that glimmer of light to see her again. But has he realized, if he even did manage to make it to the future and see her again it would be costly?

If he sees her before she goes to the past, he could change the past events to led her to release the evil in the first place. If he meets up with her while she is going to the past, he could influence her not to make certain decisions or to change the choices she made which may also end up changing his own feelings for her (if she never released the evil, would he even have fallen in love with her? Would she have fallen in love with him?); or again, if he was able to avoid her coming back to her own time after she received the jewel, would he have protected her or stayed around? Would the evil eventually had been released?

There's just a lot of if's and unknown's if he waited to see her in the future again.

But I am also curious to how Kagome is handling this. If she is in the afterlife, is she really with Neikan or is she around Midiorku and Inu no Taisho? or perhaps she is petitioning to the Kami to allow her to return back to Sesshomaru?

Just so many choices! I cannot wait to see what path you lead too - but I am begging you to make it a happy ending *puppy eyes* I will be a devoted stalk-I mean fan forever ;)

Give me some good news, keep it coming.

Next chapter with happiness please I'm tired of crying. *.*

The mourning phase of a story can sometimes be rushed to get to the happy ending. I'm very happy that you did not breeze over it.

I don't believe that there anything romantic about death. However there is something about a character morning the loss of their significant other that almost has a bittersweet taste.  That strong sense of yearning that cannot be fulfilled, like requited love, but ten time worse.

I enjoy the fact that the sakura tree and the kagome song have big roles to play in the story. However (T~T) *sniffle* . . . The song mixed with Sesshomaru's pain, against the background of sakura blossoms falling... a lethal combination! It was PERFECT!

 The wall that Sesshomaru had built around the tree was a great touch! I felt like it was a physical representation of his heart. He put up a wall again but this time it included Kagome because he knew that only she could break down his walls, walls that he wants her to break down... but she's not there anymore so he makes sure to close himeself off with "her" inside... okay I'm just rambling on now... I don't even know. I'm reading too much into this. hehe (it's 6:20 in the morning... don't ask me why I'm up... idk)

Another amazing chapter! I can't wait for the next one!
