This was rather fun.  I love the idea you came up with, with the coming of the halo around the moon power within the priestess will peak calling males to mate - that was the basic idea, right?  

Anyway, I see the gifting of clothing as sort of a precursor to Sesshomaru taking her as mate, kind of like courting and courting gifts, even though Kagome thinks it's in payment for caring for Rin.

I sense you don't like Inuyasha very much.  Just in the two one-shots he's either led her on and not mated her, or he's out whoring around thinking he'll get away with it.  No matter.  Inu tends to get the shaft a lot within this community.  Though, he does still have quite a large following.
