I'm new to this story. I just picked it up with these last few updates and started from the beginning.  I'm so impressed by both the structure of the story and the content. The drabbles are consistent and well edited, but the tale has me hooked. My poor, long suffering hubby had to remind me to sleep and finish reading in the morning.

I love the flash backs. I was particularly enamored of the big fight. It's so tense and believable. It would be hard enough for them to be a couple with different cultures and customs were she a normal fuedal era human. Kagome's world is very different from what youkai know of humans of that time. Throw in the assumption that she had at least been educated on youkai expectations... what was he to think other than she was a slow learner or willingly defiant? I pity,  no scratch that. The servant that set out to sabatage them knowing the consequences deserved whatever they got. 

I really love the conflict between Sango and Miroku. It is so very real and valid today as well as then. It takes strong people to step out of those ingrained societal roles, even if it is more common iN today's society. As a mother of four I truly understand Sango. Even if a woman never had children, aging in a time when body shaming is so prevalent is hard. Thanks for addressing the issue.

This is a wonderful story. I look forward to reading more of it.
