Danger, Kagome Higurashi, Danger! If this were a movie there would so be ominous music playing in the background. There would be long, drawn-out close-ups of the villagers' and priestesses' face to draw the attention to their reactions - or nonreaction. The whole color scheme would be a little more drab to show the contrast with the vibrantly alive (and accepting) Kagome in contrast with dull, almost sullen enclave of humans.
I may be totally off, and that is one of the things that is so awesome and sucks so hard about reading fanfict - you have to wait for an update so your brain starts trying to read between the lines and see what's coming while you wait. I think that any village miko of fuedal Japan that has no reaction to being told that she's meeting the court priestess of a daiyoukai lord is up to no good. They just aren't that accepting of youkai, and tend to frown on youkai-human interaction and dispise any even friendly interaction between holy people and youkai. Again, just my thoughts. I can't wait for the next couple of updates to see what they hold... we'll see if Kagome has really earned her graduation from her first lesson in reading people. Ahhhh! I can't wait. My brain is in overdrive thinking of all the possibilities...

This chapter really makes me question how trustworthy this miko and this village is. Or perhaps they have suffered rough times. Maybe, it is all an act made for newcomers to the village to find out their trustworthiness...

It's true!! Guys are blessed with unfair beauty. My husband has these super long, thick eyelashes that I would die for and he could really care less. So unfair.
Also, nice and subtle. First he reached out and touched her, but being Kagome I don't she even thought of how that could be seen as an intimate touch. But then she reaches out and touches Sesshomaru in the same way... 1. I doubt he's as oblivious as she is to an invasion of personal space like that and 2. he LET her do it!!
Allies my butt! I don't think he's going to let that northern tiger lord play with his hair.

Preach!! It isn't fair how I have to take 2 hours to wash and style it to make it look presentable. I do like how they are finding out things about each other in a slow and subtle (haha) way. They are growing closer slowly although each is noticing it. I can't wait to see how a new teacher mixes things up. Looking forward to finding out what happens next :)
