It would seem that Sesshoumaru has at least kept his honor by honoring the mating. Kagome should at least take that in consideration. Great chapter!

OMG sooooooooooo good! I know you've been updating Polarity on a regular basis, probably because it's not such an angst intense fic, but oh man, I love coming home and reading this fanfic when it's been updated. I'm glad Kagome has finally had it out with Sesshoumaru, and I'm so appreciative how they're both very much in character.

I have to admit, at the top of your most current post you made a comment about someone responding about RAPE, I don't think your fic was ever really focused on that, nor did you ever want it too. I think people often forget that writing is an outlet and expansion of knowledge. I think this fanfic is great for what it is, not promoting RAPE or trying to say that love with derive from it or anything of that nature. You've simply kept to keeping characters in a context which you find, and many readers, find believeable.

Be strong and don't let it bother you! You're a great writer! I could on on forever, but then I'd be a novelist!

This was another great chapter. Yes, you get better and better. How does one improve on excellence. I find myself empathizing with both Kagome and Sesshoumaru which is causing me much internal conflict:-)  What I have been wondering since he first recalled coming face to face with the woman running from the rapist--did he intervene and stop the man or did he just remain a bystander? If he did nothing at that moment though enlightened, he is still the same old Sesshoumaru watching the beast pursue its prey.

I read that anonymous review too and was a little bothered by it but you know what...you have a great story no matter what and don't you dare let one unhappy person bring you down!!!  Now on to your lasted chapter-o-gooddies....Poor Kags...she's been through so much and I have to admit I was terrified she was going into early labor...so not what they need right now.  I hope the pups desire to bond with his father doesn't give her too much grief seeing as how it seems Sesshoumaru might be the only one to help her.  I feel a bit of a snap happening though and either Kagome is going to need Sesshoumaru to calm the pup down or Sesshoumaru is going to have difficulty watching her suffer in pain once again because of him and insist that he let him help her.  I'm glad she's able to get out how she feels with him now she really wants him to feel bad about what he did and she wants to make sure he never forgets.  I am very glad to see that he does have an interest in the pup and he is willing to compromise with her so that he can see his son.  Despite the mother he still wants to be a part of his son's life and that made me smile.  I can't wait for the shard hunt to really get underway I think it's going to be very interesting indeed.  BTW I didn't get a chance to respond to the wall post you left me but thanks you made my day.  I'm glad to hear that my reviews make you happy because that is all I aim for!!  Best wishes for an enjoyable rest of your weekend and I will be waiting for your next chapter like a kid in a candy store!!  Much Love ~Daniella~

wow, deep. this is a very emotionally disturbing story, regardless of the fact that i am extremely happy that kagome is no longer being physically abused, i still believe te emotional and psychological abuse is bad.

you get so many reviews because people like rape fics. Just look around on AFF or fanfiction.net. If theres a rape warning or explicite BDSM in the fic the reviews jump up in a matter of days lol

omg, for the first time im actually feeling sorry 4 sesshoumaru. kagome on the hand isnt any better, shes probably worse especially with the baby. i dont know how 2 react torwards both of them, whatever happened was bad and neither of them wanted it but were forced. this story is going to be VERY interesting. i cant wait 2 see how this fic will end. peace =)

That was a very good chapter.  They are both victims in a sense and I was glad to see that they "confronted" one another to voice what weighed on their minds.  Even through their non verbal interactions, you could feel how tense it had become between them.  Great way to properly address their concerns. 

Kagome's rationale has peeked once more and it's good to see.  Her spirit drives her and it's making a small return.  Who could blame her for feeling the familiar comparison of another?  Her outburst was a point of change, she regained some of her "power".  Hopefully, this could only get her stronger and assist her from her current timid and exhausted state. 

Even though her well being is one of his primary concerns, I'm ever so glad (and I mean EVER) that you allowed him to CLEARLY state that she is neither Kikyo or Rin.  To base the upcoming journeys with that would change the direction of this story significantly.  That last interaction between them was intense and highly believable.  Also the fact that he states how he is not his Beast makes for an interesting case.  He is in fact, still Sesshomaru; older and wiser.  He has more understanding of the situation then perhaps what Kagome will know. 

Can't wait for new update!  But, since I can't really do anything about that....

oooo /e wonders what kind of Trouble the beast can get into if he kills a yokai in 5 mins. leaving 10 mins free to torment a poor kagome.cant wait for for the next chappie Maddie.

I can't tell who I feel more sorry for, what a change. One minute I feel sorry for Kagome and the next for Sesshoumaru. If they could just find somewhere in between all this hurt maybe there could actually be love.

You are absolutely amazing have I told you that today???  I claimed that the last chapter was my favorite and now I have to retract that statement.  I have to give Sesshoumaru credit...he doesn't want to I know he doesn't, but he's trying.  His attempt at small talk was a big step in the right direction and I don't think that Kagome can fight it for long.  She's used to conversation, interaction; she's a social creature.  It may not be with the person she wants it to be but she can't fight it.  It's going to be an interesting journey for them and I'm not talking about just the search for the shards.  His statement at the end could not be more true; he is not his beast and even though she acknowledges the fact she knows they are two sepparate beings she needs to take the time to get to know him and he needs to know her.  I am glad that he does realize that she is not Rin but I don't think he truly sees her. I hope you get the chance to update soon because I can't stand waiting LoL.  Fantastic job as always!!!
