Well aren't you just full of surprises!!!!! Yet again another fantastic chapter. I love how you described Kagome's reaction to Sesshoumaru's sleeping state. Sleep IS when we are the most vulnerable and our guard is let down. I'm glad she finally got to see that side of him even though she didn't like it. She needs to begin to realize just how different he is. He has emotion he just keeps a tight hold on it but I see the start of that control slipping. He's worried about her he really is and he is just now understanding.
Kagome's realization that the jewel is feeding off her darkness was a nice twist. The darkness of the jewel is only making her pain worse and it's going to continue till she moves past it. It's not an easy feat and I can't wait to see just how she is going to begin her own journey of forgivness. To quote a line from one of my favorite movies "Salvation Lies Within" and it is very fitting in this case. The first step in the healing process is to overcome your fears and forgive. It's a difficult concept especially in a situation like this but you can never fully recover without it.
It seems that little Kiyoshi is more observant than either of them thought. The fact that he is trying to console is ailing mother before he is even born speaks volumes about him. He's going to grow up and be on hell of a momma's boy LOL. I can't see anyone being able to hurt Kagome once that little munchkin comes into the world. You've definitely thrown an interesting twist into it though and I do have to wonder if he is going to be a full demon or not but I suppose I have a bit of a wait before we know.
I hope you enjoy your visit with your family and I beg you for an update soon!!!!!!!!!! Best wishes as always ~Daniella~
YAY YAY YAY UPDATE!!! *pounces on Maddie* I love it when I open my mail inbox to see an update on Blood Stained. Honestly, it's such a great story, and I am very very glad I got to read this before I fly off!
Firstly, congratulations on handling emotional scenes so perfectly! It's amazing how you managed to weave every conflicting emotion so perfectly into one chapter, and I really like the way you helped Kagome analyze her own emotions and psyche. She is undoubtedly torn inside, from hatred and at the same time, kindness. Of course, Sesshoumaru deserves neither - he doesn't deserve to be hated so intensely yet I don't see him getting forgiveness from her easily. So you did it in the best way imaginable - you made her try to forgive him, and it is not earned by himself. So she essentially brought him on a guilt trip while forgiving him. I am not saying I enjoy mind games, but this is ACE. Well done!!! Proud of you dear, you did so well on the emotional play!
Secondly, the bond has definitely tightened between the two of them, with little Kiyoshi as the bridge. Thank goodness for him, really. He's such an adorable little gem who knows how to take care of his dear Mama even as a fetus. How cute is that!! And of course, I cannot wait to see where you go with the mystery of his aura...it's definitely something I look forward to reading about! I hope Sesshoumaru would solve it for us, but then again he needs his youki to do so and as we all know by now he cannot release the hold on his beast so...GAHHHHHH!!! I NEED YOU TO SOLVE IT FOR ALL OF US ASAP. But of course, I understand it's merely a matter of time. Well done dearie!!
Lastly, I hope the jewel gets purified soon! It's sad seeing how poor Sess and Kagome are running all over the place to complete this mission only to have it in limbo because of their inability to purify it. Maybe her forgiveness would change things? I am definitely hoping to see that!
In a nutshell, that was a fantastic and brilliant chapter as always, my dear. You deserve ALL the nominations and ALL the votes. Much love to you honey!! :))

So that's why the jewel shard couldn't even be held by Kagome let alone purified by her. She needed to let go of the pain that was delivered to her in the past. I can see it wont be easy but there is something to gain from all this. Kagome getting her life back and being able to live how she used to be. If this is to happen what's going to happen between her and Sesshoumaru? What will happen once the baby is born and she finds out that Sesshoumaru wants partial custody or wants to be a part of his sons and hopefully Kagome's life? AHHHHHH! So many questions to few answers. Thank you for this chapter and I really hope that you UPDATE SOON! Love this story! RIDE ON!!!!
Karli (Chapter 33) - Sat 08 May 2010
Awwww Kiyoshi feeling Kags pain, and wants to help that was so sweet.
Wow!! I'm smiling and crying at the same time. This was such an emotional chapter and really instrumental to any type of relationship they will have in the future, if no more than for the child. I bow to your writing skills and can't wait to read the next chapter. I must say I am really falling in love with this story. The strengh she has to keep going is amazing and inspiring.
Sesshomaru is bound to suffer at one time or another, after all, he needs to redeem himself in front of Kagome, and the guilt of his previous actions will be a heavy weight in his conscience, bringing pain wether he likes it or not.
It was GENIUS on your part to come up with the idea of why she couldn't purify the jewel before!! I would have never though of something like that!! That just speaks very highly of your imagination and writing talent!! I loved it!!! :)
Now it's just a matter to see if she can actually manage to forgive; not necesarily forgive and forget, because that would be impossible, but she has to come to terms with the fact that as much as she is trying to convince herself that Sesshomaru hasn't changed or learn anything about this ordeal, he has in fact changed, but is her pain the one that prevents her from seeing it. All those walls that she build around herself to protect her heart have not allowed her to see beyond what she has inside at this time, which we all know is resentment, hate, and a lot of pain.
it will be interesting to see the path that she takes to begin the healing process, and to also see what part will Sesshomaru take to help her achieve her goal.
Once again, you shine girl!! Thank you for a most excellent update!!
I look forward to see what happens next!!

Aww, how sweet of the pup to care for his mom, even still in her womb. So are you suggesting that Kiyoshi is full demon??? Hmm, or did I just not read close enough? I'll wait and see :)
