This is deep. You really examined child-parent relationships here. And the childbirth passage was great, especially when he kept his opinions about childbirth to himself because he suspected Rin would punch him! LOL! Or rip his head off. Very good perspective of motherhood, parenthood, and when childhood ends. You put a lot of thought into this, it shows. This story just gets better with each chapter.
Yeah, did I mention that I'm anal-retentive? You probably already guessed that. But the following are just little things that show you were writing fast.

I am so glad that Kagome and Kyo are getting along again. They have both gone through such hard times that they deserve some happiness. I understand that Kagome and Inuyasha fought all of the time and didn't love each other, but why didn't they have sex? Was Inuyasha turned off by her after watching her give birth? Or was he afraid to get her pregnant again? Great new chapter! Can't wait to read more of your story!

Never underestimate the mind of a woman...it may have only been 4 months since Inu's death but she has been in a one sided love with InuYasha since she was 15 and Kyo happened because birth control didn't exist in the Feudal Era. They tried to make a marriage and family work but InuYasha's heart just wasn't in it and they all suffered from it. Kagome's heart has been abused for so long she doesn't believe the way she used to. She doesn't want to be all alone, only to die before Kyo is grown to adulthood. No human will want her when her child is hanyou and she's been sullied by a demon and Sesshoumaru just gave her a good preview of what kind of demon would want her, seeing as she is human. I think this is a great proposition. He will be getting a miko of great power (with the right training) and he can make up the mistakes he made in his relationship with his brother by training and caring for his son. Sesshoumaru has no idea what a great team he and Kagome can make using their powers together and whose to know what a child with their bloodlines and powers will turn out to become. Was it not said how quickly Kyo has learned and is able to fell adults with greater experience and training? Sesshoumaru doesn't know by now that the boy is showing more advanced abilities than others his age? I'm just saying, Sesshoumaru is a strategist and a tactician, a warrior with a wealth of knowledge and instinct, shouldn't he be able to see the great benefits a mating with the miko could bring?...I also am officially in love with the character Ren. She is some sly woman and she knows her Lord so well. The bee biting his hand was priceless! And taking Kyo so Sesshoumaru HAS to be alone with Kagome was such a good move on her part. I guess she's trying to tell him he needs to get laid without the trouble saying it aloud could bring. I wonder also, what InuPapa would think knowing he sentenced InuYasha to live in a place like that? And is there any way to put him in his proper place?...So, I guess I'd better end it here for now. Didn't Kagome forget one thing? Sesshoumaru wouldn't want to have hanyou pups. With her he would never have a full-blooded heir. He doesn't even like her, why would he want to mate her? I think that Kagome is just trying to use him. Why would her son be any happier knowing his mother was sleeping with his uncle? It's only been a short time since his father has died, why is Kagome in such a hurry to marry again? Will a few years make a difference in a mating of convenience? Thanks for the new chapter! Can't wait for more!

Kagome has grown up. That's so sad! I think maybe Sesshomaru finds it sad, as well. When someone so passionate, who not just believes in love but is defined by her love for others, decides to move on and give up on the whole concept, it's just wrong. It happens to us, though, doesn't it? It's one of the things that s**** about life. I hope Sesshomaru tries to bring back that spark. That he valued that in her, and saw how much power it gave her when she was filled with the power of love... That he becomes the believer, when she can no longer be... This is brilliant! And I am so glad you are updating so frequently...
i really like your story it has a good plot and i like the way its going so far. Hope you update soon i cant wait to read more
aaaw! Bless Kagome's poor little heart! I feel so bad, i just want to go hug her! Now, missk, you must update because I read all these chapters in two hours while rp'ing for half that time. My eyes burn and I am going to bed and hope to see a new chapter when I get off work tomorrow night.
