Finally! It was a bit unorthodox but Maeko did (in her own way) help things along between Sesshou and Kagome. I wonder how much time Kagome will need to digest everything that Sesshou said to her? I wonder when they will have their heart-to-heart conversation. And I definitely want to see what happens when you put Genshu, Maeko, Kosuke, Tomiko and Kagome's mother under the same roof. I really hope that Genshu and Inuyasha will be put in their places... honestly, I would sooo be tearing them a new one if they disrespected anyone I cared about. I'm glad that Sesshoumaru explained his horrible statement, but that still doesn't excuse the fact that he raped her. Why does he even pretend that he would ever let her go, when he has done so much against her will to keep her? If he were honest with himself, he would admit that he wants to mate her and take her out on dates and show her how much he cares. Instead he always takes the easy way out. He is lucky that Kagome is so sweet because I don't think I would ever be able to forgive him for taking away my freedom and choices. Really good update. Sorry about the rant!

And I have to say that I never expected the story to be where it is right now. I just realized that I never realized how intricate this story would become after reading the first chappie. ooh, another chapter leaving so many questions in my head! what does Sess's mom have up her sleeves? when Sess said "she doesn't deserve to be my mate," is that b/c she's not worthy in his eyes, or something entirely different? (like, 3 different scenarios are whirring to action in my mind... something to think about) and how will Tomiko's information affect Sess/Kag's relationship? no doubt Maeko will use such tidbits for some brilliant scheme... ^.^ Great job, look forward to more!

Beautifully depicted confusion in this chapter. And ouch, the truth hurts: 'because she didn't deserve that'. Sesshomaru is really suffering from foot in mouth disease in this story. Very enjoyable chapter, I must say.

I've gotta say that this has been one of the most amusing chappies I've read so far. I absolutely love how Lade Maeko sets Sesshou off balanced.
