Oh the heartbreak! Thank you so much for Kagura's words... Ignoring the drama that sort of happened due to Naraku's words, I think her words really did settle more than anyone before, it's just tragic the way it ended. Obviously there's a reason they had to die, but why did they have to die???! When Naraku was dying I thought, "maybe he'll die and Kagura and Kags can lean on eachother, it's not ideal but it could be worse" but then I realized that not only did Kagura die as well, but her child is gone too- I guess it'll be a good reminder to Kagome to have nothing to do with him ever, but if all she has is cold ambition while he's living it up in Africa, I feel like too much was taking away from her again. I can't wait for the next chapter, I'm so excited 

Thank you for the update, however such a sad chapter. I'm more upset at Naraku and Kagura's deaths than Sesshoumaru. I'm happy, however, that one didn't die and leave the other, that would have been WAY TOO tragic. Well I hope Sess enjoyed South Africa because I'm REALLY hoping that Kags mentally and emotionally beats him up. 4 years of running an empire? I can just imagine the pokerface and remarks, I'm totally imagining her to be a young Miranda Priestly at this point lol.

but dammit why did they have to die. It sucks that through Naraku and Kaguras death she would find her strength. I hope she makes him suffer and I am still hoping that they don’t get together ???? he’s so toxic and she gave too much of herself to be with him. He owned her entire being and it’s horrible. She’s finding her strength and I’m immensely proud of her. I hope that Sesshoumaru realizes that he was wrong and selfish despite claiming that he loved her. He took advantage of her love and only accepted her on his own time. He never once thought about her feelings truly. 

Anyways I can’t wait for the next chapter!

It is always a sad turn of events when too much hurt causes a person to build a wall so high. But with it, a more rational and less emotional Kagome is born.

I slightly panicked towards the end, but semi glad it wasn't Kagome...

So sad...I do not think there is much hope of them getting back together. I'm glad that she finally is standing up for herself. However she should let the butthole know what's up and have some closure. I'm not sure if I read this to fast or not but did she lose the child? Thanks for the update. 

Well hell... It took their deaths to get her to grow up. I hope sesshomaru suffers for what he's done. I don't care if he comes back changed who cares? He damn sure didn't care about her. So he feels betrayed, so he cried compared to her pain his is nothing. Anyway, love this story please keep updating.

Holy turn of events! First off, wonderful chapter. You always pack so much in without extra filler - you’re the best. I was so heartbroken that Kagome lost the soul and heart connections she had with Naraku and Kagura. They did, however, leave her with their legacy - to mend and find strength. I know that people are having a hard time empathizing with Sesshoumaru, but I’m also heartbroken for him. It’s so painfully when someone’s own pain / suffering (from their own upbringing / past hurts) makes them myopic. It’s sad that he couldn’t find a way to be true to himself, instead self-flagellating and allowing himself to be willfully ignorant. I hope that Kagome doesn’t allow her strength to swallow her heart too completely. It’s not necessary that she give it back to him, but she does need a heart to keep her own warmth from seeping away. Love you work  ~ thank you for your commitment to your readers!

Noooooooooo!!!!!! I loved Naraku!!! The baby!!!!! Noooo!! I liked Kagura too! I like her new mask, Absolutely ruthless. I think she’s moved on for good. Ha! Now Kagome‘s worth more than Sesshomaru! I’m looking forward to more! Thanks for updating! :)

this fic is so beautiful and so is all your other fic. I don’t think any author has ever made me dislike Sesshomaru‘s characters and ive been reading sesskag fics for almost 8 years. I’m still shocked that Naraku and Kagura died I was expecting it to all be some nightmare Kagome had at the end of this chapter but nonetheless I love this fic and can’t wait for the next chapter.
