Kagome recently found after killing 3 girls that were bullying Sango by accident that she has Demon Youkai Powers as well as miko powers. After she killed the girls she felt bad even though they were bullying her best friend. Sesshomaru had realized the threat that posed if she was not trained in her powers and learned to control them. Seeing this he took her in saying he would train her. Not knowing this was only the begining
