To Be Pregnant, Or Not To Be Pregnant?

Kagome came from out the bushes, feeling just awful. Needless to say, she had her suspicions, but she was too afraid to confirm them. What does she tell her mom?

"Mom, I need a pregnancy test because I had a little romp (more like mind-blowing passion of loneliness) with Inuyasha's older brother, whom is a full inu-youkai. So, I could be pregnant with a hanyou. So, how about that pregnancy test?" ^_^()

Yea, right!

Her mother would kill her. First, she would yell, and chase her daughter all over the shrine properties, Kagome would go down the well for safety of her life, then have a certain Inuyasha get pissed at her, then start chasing her around Sengoku Jidai property.

Speaking of Inuyasha, what would the hanyou think? Yet, why should she care? He said it himself, she is nothing. Just a shikon detector. Kagome sighed. How many times has that issue popped up?

"Kagome?"

Kagome looked down to see the cute, green eyes of Shippou looking up at her with a love that a son views a mother. Kagome smiled back down at her adoptive son. He was so innocent.

Would her child look at her with the same love?

Kagome shook her head. She doesn't even know if she is pregnant, so why worry? Shippou looked up at Kagome with confused eyes.

"What is wrong?" he asked.

She smiled down at him. "Nothing, Shippou-chan." Kagome pat his head lightly. "I am fine. I just have a bit of the flu."

Yea, that's it! She has a bit of the flu! Kagome felt relived until a voice in her mind said, "Yea, the nine-month flu!"

Kagome shook her head. She wasn't even sure if a hanyou spent nine months in the womb. Do they? She needed to ask someone, anyone.

~*~*~*~

"Um, Inuyasha? How long does a hanyou spend in the womb?" she laughed nervously.

Okay, so asking Inuyasha was a bad idea.

"What the fuck?!" was his response.

A very bad idea.

"I just always wondered that, Inuyasha."

That wasn't a lie. She had wondered that for a while since she met Inuyasha, she just never brought herself to ask, much less worry about it, until her current.... situation. Inuyasha sighed, giving in to Kagome.

"I think it was.... five months."

"Thank you, Inuyasha."

Kagome turned to walk away, when Inuyasha stopped her with a question.

"Oi, why did you ask that question, Kagome?"

Kagome looked at him, and sweat-dropped.

~*~*~*~

He walked about, wondering around his Western Lands, yet his mind was not on protecting his property. It was more along the lines of on a certain miko that intrigued him so, even when she first pulled tetsuigua out of the stone slab.

Kind of like the story of The Sword and the Stone.

"Sesshoumaru-sama?" a voice squawked up at him.

That annoying bastard.

"Let us move quicker, Jaken." Sesshoumaru told his servant.

Jaken pulled the reins of Ah, Un harder, a little girl sat on the saddle.

~*~*~*~

Kagome looked down the well. The night air was cool; a big relief from the heat of the day. The young miko gulped. She had to find out!

"Going home already, wench?" a voice asked.

Kagome screamed, and Inuyasha had to lay his ears all the way back to his scalp, his ears ringing in pain.

"You didn't have to scream, bitch."

Kagome had a hand to her chest.

"Well then, don't scare me like that!" she breathed rapidly.

"It's your fault that you aren't paying attention to your surroundings!"

Kagome huffed, and turned back to the well, yet she still didn't jump in.

"What is your problem? You have been acting really strange lately, Kagome!"

Kagome turned back to Inuyasha, her eyes full of fear. The hanyou frowned up a bit at the emotion in the miko's eyes. Her bottom lip trembled, and she sobbed, and threw herself into his arms.

~*~*~*~

Sesshoumaru neared the place where her sent was the strongest. A dried up, old well? Her sent was... strange. Not her natural sent, but a sent that lingered with her own. It was like she was carrying something inside her.

Sesshoumaru left Jaken and Rin behind a little ways so he could see this human girl for himself. He saw her with... someone else?

Though his heart didn't clench up in pain, he did feel an emotion he had never felt before. Especially after he realized that that someone else was his hanyou brother, Inuyasha. The foreign feeling got stronger when he saw the miko he rutted with sob, and throw herself at that worthless hanyou.

What did humans call that feeling Sesshoumaru was feeling? Hurt? Pain? Betrayal? ......Jealousy?

One thing was for sure; Sesshoumaru did NOT like that feeling he was feeling, especially about some worthless human girl. Another thing was, that feeling did NOT belong in Sesshoumaru, the great lord of the Western Lands.

Yet, the feeling was there. Sesshoumaru just thought it was a side affect from the rutting. After all, demons tend to feel jealous when the partner they rutted with is in someone else's arms. Yet, it was only a matter of time before it left the demon feeling it.

Sesshoumaru continued to watch the scene before him, yet more curious about the sent lingering about that human girl.

~*~*~*~

Kagome sobbed a bit more, then left the arms of Inuyasha, much to the unexpected delight of a certain demon watching both of them. Kagome sniffed, feeling a bit better. She didn't know why, but being in Inuyasha arms just didn't.... feel right.... anymore. It wasn't as pleasant as it used to be. She smiled at bit at the hanyou.

"Sorry, Inuyasha. I don't know what is wrong with me."

"Does it have anything to do with the strange sent that is on you?"

Kagome snapped back to reality at that.

"What?" she whispered and asked at the same time.

"You have a strange sent inside you. Shippou commented it to me earlier today. He thought that you have some disease in you. Do you, Kagome?"

'A disease called, "pregnancy".' Kagome thought.

The young girl put on an obviously fake smile, and she shook her head negatively. Inuyasha didn't believe her.

"Kagome, I know you're lying." he told her. "Is it fatal?"

'It could be, if the birthing doesn't go right. ARGH! Why am I thinking this?! I don't even know if it is pregnancy.'

".... Kagome?"

Kagome snapped back to reality again when the hanyou pulled her into his arms. They were warm, yes, loving? Probably not. Yet, Inuyasha held her close to him, afraid that she would disappear.

"Kagome.... whatever it is.... we will get through it, together."

Back in the woods, and away from Inuyasha's nose, Sesshoumaru growled in his throat when he heard that. That hanyou can be so annoyingly stupid! It is obvious that the girl he rutted with is pregnant with his pup!

But what to do with her and the pup?

As if having one human girl following him around isn't troubling enough, now he has a hanyou pup! That would be double trouble for him; it was evidence of his weakness, his lowliness of rutting with a human female!

Sesshoumaru felt like slapping himself for his own stupidity. He could kill the girl before she gave birth to that wretched thing.

Strangely, there was another foreign feeling in the pit of his stomach when he thought of killing the human girl. So, he used an excuse of his hanyou brother being pissed, coming after him, and annoying him until he fully killed the hanyou.

The demon lord became angry. Angry at himself.

He killed many humans in the past! It was nothing to have another one added to his endless list of human death! Yet, Sesshoumaru couldn't bring himself to kill the human girl with whom he shared his pain with.

~*~*~*~

"Kagome.... whatever it is.... we will get through it, together."

The girl, Kagome, couldn't do anything else but cry once again in Inuyasha's arms. He tightened his arms around the crying girl, trying to comfort her the best he could.

"I.... I don't k-know...." Kagome sobbed. "I... I'm sure I don't have any diseases."

"Then why are you crying like this? Why are you being so upset? Why do you have this strange sent in you?"

Kagome shook her head, then looked up at Inuyasha.

"I was going back to my time... to take a test to see if there is anything wrong with me."

"Is it for all those test you have been taking in the past?"

Kagome shook her head again.

"Those tests are mental tests. The test I am talking about is physical."

"I'll come with you...."

"No, no, it's okay, I can handle it."

Inuyasha nodded.

"I'll be waiting here for you to come back."

And Kagome turned, and jumped into the well.

~*~*~*~

Sesshoumaru was very puzzled when he saw the girl jump down the old well. He was even more puzzled when he looked down the well (after Inuyasha left) and saw no human girl. Just old demon bones.

Kagome sat in the kitchen, all alone. No one was in the house when she got home, when she went to the store, and when she got back.

When Kagome purchased the pregnancy test, the store clerk looked at her weird, so she made up a story about the test was for her mother, yet her mother was too sick to come and buy it.

The store clerk smiled, and told Kagome that she wishes her luck, totally buying Kagome's story.

As soon as she got home, she took the test, and it was a half an hour after the required time to check it. Kagome gathered up all her courage, went to the bathroom, and checked the test.
