Where was Inuyasha? The dark haired beauty sat at the long dining table on the other end was the demon who captured her months ago. Yes, but though she was his prisoner, she was well-treated except for the words mumbled by the ugly toad servant who he kept around. The silvery haired demon, Sesshoumaru, was not what she excepted though he seemed ruthless, cold, uncaring and all and all a jerk but it was not the case. He treated her like a guest rather than prisoner with kimonos, food, and wandering wherever she liked besides the places he specifically said not to go. Prisoner was not the right word. Staring at the beautiful youkai, she couldn't help but feel like. . .She shook her head thinking such nonsense. No, he only kept her for the Tetsusaiga and Inuyasha will be here soon. Still staring at the demon, she didn't notice that those honey colored eyes were looking at her with curiosity though you couldn't tell by his indifferent expression. "Miko, what are you looking at?" Coming out of her daydream by Sesshoumaru's statement, she looked down to her plate infront of her. A tinge of red brushing over her cheeks as she tried to compose herself. How long had she been staring? Slowly, she started to eat her food once again, the little onyx haired girl giggled looking from her Sesshourmaru and Kagome. The little girl had to be no more than seven or eight as Kagome looked to her but the big demon lord took care of her and she was human. How weird.

Placing some food into her mouth, she couldn't help but wonder more about the the great Lord of the Western Lands. First, Inuyasha told her that his brother hated humans and seemed like he hated Inuyasha for having a human mother. But, he takes care of a little human girl and has been treating her quite well now. All this was very confusing to her and to think that she thought he was heartless, she guessed he had another side to him.

Comtemplating more, she hadn't notice she finished dinner. Heading out of her daydream, she wondered at the first time, she saw him. He was looking for their father's grave and fought Inuyasha. How he almost killed her with the miasma and the second encounter when he had Tetsuagia in his grasp. How cold he was? Was this really him? Inuyasha? But I feel like I am betraying. . .Kagome looked up to see the Demon Lord looking at her. A look of concern since, she looked so spaced out. "Kagome?" He said my name and why is so concerned. "I am fine. Sorry."

The youkai couldn't help but wonder about the miko and why he had been so nice to her lately. She was only here because of one thing that seemed not to be coming along. That maybe my stupid half-brother will not come and get his precious wench. His golden eyes just focused on her as he thought, but she is beautiful for a human. But sneering, he decided to take that back, how stupid could he be. Maybe he had grown attach to this human just like to the little one named Rin. Pushing back long silvery strands, he continue to eat, glancing up time and time again to see Kagome looking at him. His patience was thinning on why she looked at him so longing. Why had he been nice to her? Why hasn't he just killed her since the stupid hanyou hasn't come? Why?

Rin had to disturb the silence as she giggled and looked to Kagome with such innocence. "Kagome, are you going to be Rin's okaasan?" Quite startled with the comment, she looked to the little girl and shook her head. "No Rin, I have to go back home." The little girl was not satisfied with this answer as she frowned. "You don't love Sesshoumara-sama and Rin?" Again, she was taken back by this question and about to say no but pondered more. "I do." After saying that, the miko looked up to see the youkai almost surprised but still you could not tell the difference. Only those, golden eyes could tell you his real emotion.

What? She loved them? Sesshoumaru thought he must of heard wrong but he couldn't deny what he just heard. Love, what a weak human emotion. Emotions in general were pointless only rage but then that can blind you when fighting. No, emotions were nothing that he needed. But what was love? He loved his mother and held respect for his father in some regard. Loving a human, why? Gazing at the girl, he couldn't help but notice the shiny black hair that seemed to dance as she walked. Though the outfit she wore when he first saw her was repulsive but it showed that she was turning out to become a very fine woman. The smell? Ah, the best feature. He remembered when he got close to her it seemed like spring, raindrops, and something else. Something he could not put his clawed finger on. But it was intoxicating and arousing. "Rin, go to Jaken." The girl was about to protest but knew better as she scooted out and went to find the ugly green toad.

Looking to the little girl run to find the servant toad, she couldn't help but get butterflies and then soon became a tornado as he approached her. The elegant strides how that beautiful hair swayed back and forth. What did she pay so much detail to him? He was cold and ruthless but kind in some form or another. Could it be that she was in love with him? Shaking that out of her head, she almost gasp as he was only inches away. "What do you mean by this love?" She wanted to giggle at his curiosity but thought that she wanted to know why she said that to Rin too. "I . . ." The demon lord walked away and being here for a couple of months, she knew to follow. "I didn't want to get her sad." He looked to nothing in particular and could almost be taken to another world by her sweet scent. "Sesshoumaru?" Turning his head, their eyes made contact as he saw a whirl of emotions: curiosity, concern, embarrassement and love. Love? Had after all this time, has she saw something he could not even see. That this miko was in love with him. Without noticing, he inched closer and closer until their lips touched. How wonderful that was. It seemed right.

What had happened as she felt his lips pressed onto hers and his arm snake around her waist with force bringing her closer. Emotions tormented her with betrayal but it felt so right. Finally, she parted her lips as his tongue wiggled into her mouth and she kissed back. Butterflies did twirls but no matter it felt right that this was meant to be. Fate had brought her to him and this was it. No matter what anyone thinks, he could love and she would love him. As he backed away from the kiss, their eyes locked again. "I. . .love you." Sesshoumaru had not expected this but knew that it will come sooner or later. What came out of his mouth shocked even him, "As I you." Kagome gasped but was quieted as the kiss started all over again. But a crash through the door did not stop them as a hanyou, a monk, a demon exterminator, and a kitsune stood opened-mouthed at what had happened. In the background, their was a childish giggle. Being the youngest, she was the only one who knew that this would happen sooner or later.
