Shessie's story by Black Mage

chapter 1

It was only a couple weeks sense Sesshomaru's mothers death. She died a painful and sad death. He only really remembered what she looked like and her scent nothing much more. He was upset and confused. He thought that his mother couldn't die like it was impossible or something.

After her death and to this day he rarely smiles. Not around anyone, not even his best friend, Kagome, who he knew sense birth. Kagome always found a way to smile even in the darkest of times. No matter how hard she tried she could never get Sesshomaru to smile. He would always ignore her or he wouldn't even give her the slightest sign that he was okay. The reason Sesshomaru did this was not out of cruelty but because if he did look at her he would smile and he wouldn't be able to get the smile off for weeks. Sesshomaru told her one day that he wouldn't smile because he thought that if he did that his mother might not love him. Kagome told him that it was ridiculous that he thought that yet he nevered smiled. That was until one day 5 years after his mother's death and only 4 weeks after his father's new mating, that Kagome was finally able to tell Sesshomaru what she thought of him.

"Sesshomaru can we talk for a second?"

"Is this another plot to make me smile?"

"No"

"Then go right ahead."

"After I say this I am never coming back. Sesshomaru I love you and I always will. You are more luckier than you think, at least you where able to see your parents. Goodbye Sesshomaru I love you."

"Kagome wait."

"(crying) What I have said all that I need to say. Now what do you want?"

"I love you, too. Please don't go."

"I have to. I am holding you back. And Sesshomaru if you really love me you will smile to your dad and to his new mate. Try and be nice that is what your mother would have wanted you to do. Goodbye for now."

And with that she was gone and hasn't been seen sense then. That same night Sesshomaru thought about what Kagome had said and when his father came back he would smile and say that his new mate was welcome to stay in the castle for however long she wanted or lived. His father came back the next night around 4 in the morning and when he went into his room he was surprised to see Sesshomaru sleeping on his bed. He shook Sesshomaru up and asked what he was doing in his room. Sesshomaru told him that his new mate was welcome to come and stay and he even smiled at his father for the first time sense his mother's death. Sesshomaru's father thanked him and was wondering where Kagome was. Sesshomaru told him what had happened and by the end his father felt really sorry for Sesshomaru. It had been tough the first couple weeks with Izayo, his father's new mate, living with him.

One day he caught a familiar scent. He followed his nose and it lead him to Kagome. He was so happy to see her and she looked great, and as usual she was smiling. She was surprised to see him smiling and she was happy that he was living with Izayo. She asked him what was going on and how he was the usual conversation between them. Sesshomaru told her that he missed her and that he wanted her to come back because being away from her for so long was a little to much to bare. She told him that she would come back because he proved his love for her. That night was full of passion and love. Chris and Sesshomaru couldn't be more happier with their decision.

Together for 6 years and through that time, Sesshomaru got a half brother, and 2 deaths. Izayo and his father's. He called his half brother Inuyasha, he found it suiting. Kagome and Sesshomaru had 2 kids, Rin and Shippo, and they where okay kids they did get into trouble at times but nothing that they couldn't handle. When Naraku, evil demon, started to reek havoc Sesshomaru vowed that he wouldn't let anyone get hurt. He broke that promise the day Kikyo pinned Inuyasha to a tree. He couldn't pull the arrow out because it had a protection spell on it and he couldn't get past the spell. When he went to see if he could pull the arrow out for the final time, Inuyasha was nowhere to be seen. He followed his nose and it lead him to the village that Kikyo lived in. He found Inuyasha in a little hut with some human girl. Sesshomaru was happy to see his little brother was okay, but when he tried to go towards Inuyasha, an old woman stood in front of him and said that he wasn't welcome. When Sesshomaru explained that he was Inuyasha's brother she let him inside. Sesshomaru went up and hugged Inuyasha asked if he was okay and things like that. He told Inuyasha of what had been happening scene he had been gone. A lot of things had changed and the kids had grown up and everything.

Inuyasha asked how Kagome was and Sesshomaru told him that she was okay and that she tried to pull the arrow out but with no luck. Then came the granddaddy of all questions: how did he get the arrow out of his chest. Inuyasha told him about the little wench over on the other side of the hut. He told Sesshomaru that her name was Sango or something like that.

Over the years with Inuyasha and Sango at first where troublesome but they soon warmed up to one another and they mated 4 years after they met. They where very happy and had 2 kids, Kilala, Miroku. They where okay kids but they where a handful. One moment they would be here the next here, and if you gave them sugar look out was Inuyasha and Sango's only advise.

8 years after Miroku was born, things started to go a little bit bad. Inuyasha and Sango started to fight more often and the kids where getting into more and more trouble.Things weren't looking good and things weren't going good.

Sesshomaru and Kagome where yelling at one another one night and Sesshomaru had about enough of the fighting so he stopped it by kissing her and they ended up having it. About a month after they had that fight Kagome said that she had to go somewhere and Sesshomaru asked where she had to go. She told him that she got a message last night that her brother was dying and she wanted to see him one more time to say goodbye and to see the rest of her family. Sesshomaru told her to be careful and to come back safely. He kissed her goodbye and she left, promising that she would return in about 4 days if not longer.

It took Kagome about 2 hours to get to the village and when she got there she found that her brother and the entire village had been burned down to the ground. Someone was there though, she could sense them. She told them to come out and she wouldn't have to hurt them. It was Naraku who came out of the shadows. For the most part he looked human, but Kagome knew what he looked like in both forms. She got out her weapons but Naraku was faster and he went up behind her and knocked her out.

She woke up in a dark and damp cave. She wondered out loud where she was, and Naraku answered for her. Unfortunately she was tied and she couldn't fight him off her. The next 3 years would be the worst years of her life.

Naraku would come down ever day and he would rape her, yet she never bared a child. She was happy that she never did but Naraku wasn't. He would always wonder why she never bared a child, Kagome herself was wondering that. One day Naraku never came down and he didn't come down for a couple months. She wondered what he was doing but whatever it would be she knew that she wouldn't like it. Fortunately she never got to find out what he was doing or going to do to her.

One day when Naraku was doing god knows what in god knows where Kagome heard screams from outside the door. She was still tied down so she didn't know what was going on. The door burst opened and Naraku was standing in the door way with his hands behind his back. He was coming down the stairs as if nothing was going on. Then he wiped around sensing that someone was behind him, when he turned around he saw Sesshomaru standing behind him apparently not in a good mood. He punched Naraku in the mouth and Naraku flew across the room and landed on the floor with a thud. Sesshomaru went over to him and told him that it was a very bad idea to touch his mate. He picked Naraku up with one hand and started to squeeze his throat. Naraku started to gasp for air but when he couldn't get any he died. After he died Sesshomaru cut him into little pieces and burned them. Sesshomaru went over to where Kagome was chained and used his poison claws to un-chain her. She flew into his arms and started to cry. He told her that he was sorry that he couldn't get there sooner and she told him she just wanted to go home and be in his arms once again. They went home and lived happily ever after.
