Walking through the fields of chaos and blood shed, Kagome found herself at a lost. This was the day of the big battle and here she was weeping and cradling her injured kitsune.

Slowly slinking about a tree and entering the barren land her breath caught. Before her lie an unconscious Sango as Kilala and Miroku fended off the oncoming youkai. Not far to the left, stood both of the Inutashio males dueling for their lives.

Inuyasha the brash and crazy hanyou that she had come to love was harshly bleeding form various wounds across his chest. No doubt that Naraku wished for his heart. Springing on his heels and landing in a crouch, he dodged to the left. Regathering himself and standing, he released on hellish growl of outrage. Ignoring his freshly wounded side, he ran at Naraku.

Standing and as well rushing the evil hanyou, Sesshoumaru wielded his whips of light and successfully hit. He too ignored the festering injuries that he had sustained as he fought on. Never one to shy away from battle, he continued on. Twirling on his heels and slicing the air, he missed the quirking of the hanyou's left hand as miasma slowly laced itself to the limb.

Seeing this, Kagome carefully placed Shippo upon the ground and created a light colored ping barrier. Closing her eyes and focusing, she called forth the remaining of her purification. Soon doughy brown eyes snapped to life and revealed a glossy haze. With the hanyou in her mind's eye, she materialized a bow and arrow . Pulling it back, she narrowed her eyes.

"Hit the mark." And she released.

Slumping to the ground and wheezing, she watched as her arrow gave the glow of all pure. Soaring through the air, it steadily grew in intensity and power. Soon it gained attention of the three battling.

It was too late. Nothing could be avoidable, for it was true and noting could seize it once it was airborne.

Just as Naraku released his ball of miasma, the arrow hit its target. Going through it and piercing through his barrier, Naraku gave a loud growl as the light of purification flashed.

Covering her eyes and awaiting it to end, she soon shakily stood. Running her eyes over the field, they widened.

"No....Kami no..."

Regathering her small kitsune, she ran with all the energy left and towards the two bloody figures. Dropping to her knees beside Inuyasha, she almost wept. Hesitantly reaching out and wiping the caked blood away from his eye lids. Sitting back, tears fell. Bowing her head in guilt, she violently shook.

"Inu....Inuya...sha..."

Heating an old familiar rough groan, her head jerked up. Taking a hold of his hand, she awaited as his lids slowly lifted.

"You...idiot...I could...ve been killed." He scolded, sitting up and ignoring her protesting. Looking beside him, he smirked. "At least you killed that bastard."

Following his gaze, she couldn't breathe. Pushing him away and moving to the other wounded and drastically still lifted western lord, her guilt rose.

"What have I done?"
