Dreamcatcher's Jasmine Tea by Kagome357

Chapter One

This story is part of the Dreamcatcher series that I'm writing on FF.net, which are a series of one shot stories featuring the characters and friends from Inuyasha. This particular version has a raunchier lemon than the FF.net version. I hope you like it.

"Jasmine Tea"

(feat. Sesshomaru and Kagome)

Kagome grabbed her purse and ran out the door. She was late; her appointment at the dentist wouldn't hold if she was even 2 minutes late but it couldn't be helped. Her mother was excited about Sota's soccer scholarship and kept her on the phone. If she had only dressed more casually instead of a rose and white airy spring dress and pumps, she could have a better chance but no, she bought this dress and it was nearly the end of the season she was going to at least wear it once. What we women do for vanity, she thought as she hurried to towards the train that would take her just past the heart of Tokyo.

"Dammit!" She ragged out as she watched the train door close. It would be five minutes for the next train but it would still be too late. Oh well, so much for that appointment. She pulled out her cell phone and called the dentist's office to reschedule.

Kagome walked back up the subway and started off down the street. Walking confidently, she was aware of the admiring glances she was receiving but she shyly kept walking. Dark, wavy hair cascading down her back with bangs hiding her honey chocolate eyes, high cheekbones with pouty pink lips. Her dress was fluid, accentuating her slender figure and long legs down to the 3' matching high heel shoes with her French manicured toes peeking out. She was the vision of femininity.

She had dated since college but never anyone seriously. She was too into her career to care about finding Mr. Right and most of the guys she knew or had met were all about getting laid. She had sex once and it was the worst 13 seconds of her life. After that, she decided she would be more selective about who she was with and so far, she hasn't met anyone that had peaked her interest.

Now that her career as a marketing researcher for one of Japan's biggest pharmaceutical companies was on track, maybe a relationship would come eventually but she was in no rush. She was tired of being disappointed but not too anxious to get back out in the dating field.

Down the street she walked, not sure if she should go to the office 3 blocks away or take a leisurely afternoon off. Deciding on the latter, she saw a small teahouse at the end of the street. Odd she had never noticed it before. It was nearly noon and her feet were starting to hurt. Damn shoes, she thought, I'd throw them away if they weren't so cute. I may as well have a sit down cup of tea. She headed off into that direction and as she got across the street, she was nearly knocked over by a fast walking man in a blue suit.

"Hey you creep!" She called out, catching herself but the man kept walking through the crowd. All she noticed was his long white hair braided behind him. "Asshole," she mumbled before slowly making her way to the teahouse.

As she got through the door, the place was absolutely packed. There wasn't a table to be had anywhere. Resigning herself to getting her tea to go, she made her way over to the counter. "You have a huge selection!" She said cheerfully to the clerk. "What do you recommend?"

"Try the jasmine tea," a deep velvety voice behind her murmured. "It's actually very delicious. Would you care to join me at my table?"

Kagome felt a tingle shiver down her spine; there was something about a man with a voice like that. She turned around to face him with a smile and frowned. It was him...THAT guy! The white haired creep that almost knocked her down.

"Hmph!" She snorted. "No thank you! I don't sit with men who try to kill me in the street. I'll try my favorite chamomile tea!"

"Now now, don't be that way my Lady," he replied, a small smile blossoming. "This place gets very crowded and I wanted to get to my table. This is my way of apologizing to you and your feet look like they hurt. Please join me."

Kagome looked at him, wondering if she should tell him where to get off and how to do it and how many fingers to do it with, but deciding that he was right about her feet and she really wanted to sit down, she would take the white haired man up on his offer.

"Alright you cretin, I'll join you but only because I need somewhere to sit." She retorted as the white haired man smirked and ordered 2 cups of jasmine tea.

He escorted her over to a table in the far corner and pulled her chair back. She sat down and looked over and around and behind him, like he wasn't sitting there. He never took his eyes off her face. She squirmed; she didn't know if it was because she was uncomfortable with him watching her like that or if she was attracted to him. She shook her head and peeked at him from under her bangs. His facial expression never changed. As the waitress brought over the cups, Kagome took out money but the white haired man waived her off and paid.

"I didn't ask you to do that!" She snapped. "I can buy my own beverage!"

"I have no doubt that you can," he murmured, "but again this about me apologizing to you."

"Well fine." She replied, taking the beautiful cup in her hands and inhaling. It does have a wonderful aroma, she thought. He picked up his cup and sipped. Kagome watched him, noting at how delicate his hands were. Giving into the heavenly aroma, she sipped the tea.

"Ummmm!" she breathed, "this is heavenly!"

"Indeed," he replied. "The tea is delicious as well."

Kagome felt her face flush red. They sat silently, sipping their tea and taking in the atmosphere.

Kagome looked down at her watch. "Uh, time to get going. This was fun...or something like that."

"I didn't catch your name." He said.

"I didn't give it." She replied, standing up. "Hey, thank you for the tea but I really should be going."

"But you didn't finish," he said.

"Yeah," she replied nervously, "but I have to get to work," she fibbed.

"Would you meet me here tomorrow at the same time?" He asked, arching his eyebrow at her excuse.

Kagome looked around. This was really weird. She normally didn't pick up guys and somehow she had managed to pick up a guy who damn near knocked her over. Granted he was drop dead gorgeous with his white hair and almost golden eyes wearing a dark blue Armani suit that seemed tailor made to fit, but still...she couldn't just meet up with this guy again.

Can she?

"Uh, I don't know. I'm not normally out during the day at this time."

He stood up and came around the table and stood next to her, towering nearly 10 inches over her. "I tell you what my Lady," he replied near her ear, his sexy voice nearly sending her over the edge. "I'll be here tomorrow; same time, same place. If I see you, then good but if not, maybe next time."

With that, he turned and walked out.

Kagome didn't realize she had been holding her breath until he left and she exhaled. Slowly she sat down, unconsciously sipping her tea. That guy sure seemed real sure of himself, she thought miffed. What kind of a girl does he take me for anyway?

There was no way she was going to meet him here tomorrow.

Right?

Kagome was in a dilemma. She wasn't really sure if she should wear - her sensible business suit or the pretty pearl colored clingy dress. This is silly, she thought, I'm only going to work for Kami's sake!

She settled on the cream-colored dress and got dressed, running her hands down as the soft fabric clung to her sleek figure and curves. A see-through bolero jacket completed the look as she put on a pair of 3' strappies and headed out the door.

"Wow!" Sango breathed as she poked her head inside of Kagome's office. "You look gorgeous! What's the occasion – you have a date?"

"No." Kagome said, rolling her eyes. "I thought I'd try something different. You know, try the softer side of me. Who says you have to be bookkeeperish-looking in the work place?"

Sango looked at her best friend skeptically. She knew Kagome better than most and the fact that she was dressing more feminine told her that there was more to it than 'the softer side of me' defense, whether Kagome was aware of it or not.

"Hm, well don't keep me in the dark for too long." Sango grinned as she bounced down the hall. Kagome rolled her eyes and rifled through the files on her desk. Looking up at the clock, it was 11:50. It would be lunchtime soon and she was hungry.

She made an excuse not to join Sango and the other girls as they made their way to a sushi bar. She headed the other way, trying to figure out what she wanted. Before she knew it, she was standing in front of the teahouse.

As she walked in, the white haired man was sitting in the corner, watching her as she entered. He smiled as soon as she caught his gaze. He stood up and waved her over. Kagome got a real good look at him. Tall, his long hair draped over his shoulder loosely, his piercing amber eyes magnetically drawing her towards him, beautiful facial structure, a small kissable mouth...dammit why did he have to be so hot? She wondered heatedly as she walked towards him.

"Good afternoon, my Lady. You're prompt. I like that in a woman," he murmured as he pulled out her chair.

"Good afternoon, thank you and please stop calling me 'my lady.' It's creepy." She replied.

"I could call you by your name but since you haven't given it to me, I must be satisfied with what suits you." He replied.

Kagome felt her face flush but she held her composure. "I'm not sure I want to be so familiar with you yet," she replied. "How are you today?"

"I am well. And you?"

"I'm good." Kagome said, looking around as the waitress brought the tea. "But I haven't..."

"I took the liberty," he replied. "Jasmine tea. I'm afraid I'm rather partial to it but if you'd like something different, I can make another order."

Kagome shook her head. "No, this is fine. It's delightful." Taking the cup, she took a careful sip. "Wow, that's so good," she smiled. "I can see it becoming my favorite."

"Your smile is beautiful," he whispered to her.

"Thank you, uh..." she shyly said.

"Sesshomaru." He replied.

Sesshomaru. She repeated the name in her head. "Um, thank you Sesshomaru. What do you do for a living?"

"I own several businesses," he replied. "What about you?"

"I work as a marketing researcher for a pharmaceutical company nearby." She said and then froze. She hadn't meant to tell him she worked close by. He could be a stalker/rapist/toe freak or something, she thought.

"That's big business," Sesshomaru replied, ignoring Kagome's slip. "My younger brother is a physician so I know the market is very competitive. I'm sure you hold your own."

They continued to talk and drink their tea. He had the waitress bring over some delicious biscotti. There were several different flavors that Kagome had never heard of and she liked the mango and pineapple ones. She was enjoying her conversation with him. He discussed the countries he traveled to and the different teas he tried in each country. Before she knew it, it was nearly 1:00pm.

"Oh my goodness, I have to go!" Kagome exclaimed, standing up. "I have a 1:00 meeting and I'm going to be late!"

"That is unfortunate. I was enjoying our conversation today," Sesshomaru said.

"Thank you for the tea and biscotti." She said, bowing politely and turning to leave. "Uh, will you be here tomorrow?" She asked.

"Yes. Same time, same place, my Lady." He murmured as he bowed; his eyebrow arched so perfectly.

Kagome stopped and looked back. "I'll see you then." She turned and walked up the street, running just a bit so she wouldn't be late. Then she remembered she hadn't told him her name.

"Oh nice going, stupid!" She said out loud. "He must think I'm brain damaged!"

Kagome made it to the meeting in the nick of time. Sango was watching her, quietly asking her what happened. Kagome ignored her, trying to concentrate on the meeting.

Afterwards Sango cornered her in her office. "Kagome, what's going on?"

"What?" Kagome asked. "There's nothing going on. What are you talking about?"

"You have this weird look on your face, like you got caught with something." Sango snorted.

"Look, I had tea at a teahouse. That's all." Kagome said, irritated. "It's no big deal. I just wanted to relax a bit, not gossip with the girls."

Sango walked over to her and sat down. "Kagome, you know I'm your girl but I'm seeing something in you, even if you can't see it yourself right now. I hope it's a good thing."

Kagome looked at Sango. She and her husband Miroku have been married for 3 years and were looking forward to creating a family. They were always trying to get her to find a husband.

"Sango," Kagome said gently, "there's nothing going on. Seriously."

"Okay, okay." Sango said, standing up. "But you will keep me informed, right?"

"Uh, sure, right," Kagome said. "You'll be the first to know."

Sango smiled at her friend and left. Kagome breathed a sigh of relief. Why was she keeping this a secret? It's almost like Sesshomaru was hers and hers alone and she didn't want to share him with the world yet. She wasn't sure of what was happening but she didn't want to get her hopes up.

They always started out like saints but ended up as sinners. She wasn't going to take any chances.

The next day Kagome took off for lunch and headed to the teahouse. When she got there, she looked back to the corner table but didn't see him. She stood there for a moment, looking around, and then slowly made her way over to the table and sat down. Maybe he's running late, she thought.

The waitress came over and took her order but she wanted to wait for him. The waitress smiled politely and went back to the counter.

A half hour passed and still no sign of Sesshomaru. Kagome looked down at her watch disappointed. The waitress came back over and this time Kagome took the tea and some crumpets.

As she silently ate and drank, she seethed. She was looking forward to this and the peach colored skirt and blouse she wore made her look very pretty. Now she felt stupid, like she had wasted her time. He wasn't coming, she realized, as she got up and paid for her tea and crumpets and left.

Dejected, she walked back to her office earlier than usual. She wouldn't talk to Sango and instead threw herself into a project. Just when she was letting her guard down, here she was disappointed yet again.

For the next week, Kagome avoided the teahouse, choosing to go with the girls to lunch, not wanting to be alone but not wanting to go back the teahouse. She didn't even hear them talking, her mind wracked with both anger and sadness.

"Kagome, what's wrong?" Ayumi asked her one day. "You're so quiet and you look so sad."

"I don't think I feel very good," Kagome replied. "I'm going to go back to the office. I'll see you guys soon."

Kagome left the sushi bar and headed back to the office. She stood at a corner, ready to cross the street. I wish this day would end like right now, she thought.

"What happened to you?" A deep baritone voice behind her snapped.

Kagome whipped around. It was Sesshomaru, looking slightly cross. "I've been waiting for you all week."

"Well you stood me up last week!" Kagome bit at him. "I sat there forever waiting for you! Why should I bother going back when I'm going to sit there alone?"

"Indeed." He replied gently. "Something came up but I didn't know your name so I had no way to contact you. I asked one of the waitresses to give you a message that day but you had already left. Please forgive me, my Lady. It will never happen again."

Kagome looked at him. "Kagome." She replied tersely. "Kagome Higurashi."

"Hello, Kagome Higurashi." Sesshomaru replied. "Will you meet me for tea tomorrow; same time, same place?"

"Yeah...sure," she murmured more huskily than she should have. His voice really had a weird effect on her.

"Good." He said, whispering into her ear. "We have a date then." He turned and walked down the street.

For the next 2 months, they met at the teahouse for tea and sweets regularly at noon. They discussed music, poetry and science. They argued about politics and soccer. His laughter sounded like smooth breakers over a deep inlet cove. His eyes twinkled when he argued passionately.

They didn't do much of anything else when they met; just have jasmine tea, sweets and conversation.

"You're infuriating!" He glared. "The prime minister is an idiot."

"How could you make such a blanket assessment?" Kagome argued. "He's leading the country towards economic prosperity! I can't believe you think of him like that!"

"I think that because I've met him and he's an idiot."

"You're so snobbish."

"You're naive."

"I could use another cup of jasmine tea."

"So could I. I'll be right back."

Sesshomaru went up to the counter while Kagome tried to catch her breath. He thrilled her in ways she never thought a man ever could. He was warm and passionate and very attentive to her during their lunch dates. He also pissed her the hell off at times with his "off with his head!" attitude about things. Still, she thought, could he be the one?

Sesshomaru came back over with two cups of tea and scones. "Kagome, I will not be able to have our tea tomorrow. I have a business meeting that will last all day but I would like to see you soon."

"Oh I'll be here on Monday." She piped in, disappointed.

Sesshomaru let out a low sensuous laugh. Kami, he sounds so sexy when he does that. "No Kagome, I mean on a date. I would like to take you out for an evening on the town. There's a new art exhibit opening and dinner afterwards. I have tickets and think you would enjoy it. Would you like to go?"

Kagome's breath caught. He's asking me out! On a real live date!

"Kagome..." Sesshomaru interrupted. "Did you hear me?"

"Oh sorry, my mind wandered back to work," Kagome lied. "Uh, sure I'd love to go out with you. What day?"

"This Saturday at 7:00. Shall I pick you up?" He asked.

"Uh, no I can meet you there." That's just the day after tomorrow, she thought nervously. "How should I dress?" She replied. She wasn't sure if he should know where she lived just yet.

"Fine." He responded, writing down the address of the museum. "Meet me at the front door at 7:00. I also wrote down my cell phone number. The affair is formal so you should dress for it. I'll look forward to seeing you again."

With that, they stood up and walked out the door. Bowing politely, Sesshomaru headed down the street and Kagome went the opposite direction. All she could think about is what would she wear at such short notice.

"What a nightmare!" She hissed out loud. "I have a date and nothing to wear!"

After work Kagome headed over to several boutiques without any success. The dresses she looked at were either too long, too big, too expensive or too gaudy. She thought she would die. This was nearly impossible.

The next day was met without much success either. The dresses either made her skin look too pale or too pink or too Paris Hilton. She was at a crossroads as to what to do and she needed it by tomorrow or else she was done for. Just as she was about to leave, she saw one dress at the end of the rack. Her eyes glowed as she realized this was the one.

Kagome made her way to the museum in a cab. Getting out carefully, she walked up the steps towards building. Once she got there, there was a huge atrium leading to the museum door. Not sure where to go at this point, she dialed Sesshomaru's cell phone.

"Yes?" He answered, his deep voice turning her on.

"Uh, hi." She replied nervously. "I'm out front."

"I'll come up and meet you at the front door." He replied. "I'm glad you came."

Kagome hung up the phone and walked to the main entrance. The matron at the front door asked her for her invitation.

"Invitation?" She blinked. "My date told me to meet him here."

"What is your name, young lady?" The matron asked her.

"Kagome Higurashi." Kagome said, slightly flustered at the brisk tone.

The matron looked down the list slowly. "Oh yes, Miss Higurashi. Please go on in."

Kagome nodded to the matron and walked into the expansive museum. There was art from around the world as well as many artifacts from Japan's lush history. She got to the top of the staircase when she looked down and saw Sesshomaru. In a black Calvin Kline tuxedo and his hair pulled back into a topknot free flowing ponytail, he looked like a god.

Sesshomaru turned and saw Kagome and stopped cold. With her hair curled in delicate waves over her left shoulder, she ascended the staircase in a black long velvet dress with a plunging neckline and long sleeves that hung off her shoulder. From her full breasts, the dress clung seductively to her very narrow waist, the swell of her hips and all the way down to the floor as she held the dress from her stepping feet.

She blushed as she reached the bottom and stood in front of him. She was never a big make up person so all she wore was some mascara, light eyeliner and a little pink lip-gloss.

"You look spectacular." Sesshomaru murmured, kissing her on the cheek. Blushing, Kagome thanked him as he took her arm and led her into the museum. They toured the museum arm in arm, with Sesshomaru giving narratives on a lot of the collection. Kagome surprised him in her own right by also giving extensive detail of what was there.

They left the museum to have a light dinner at an Italian restaurant. They made light conversation as they took in the evening's events. Afterwards, they got into Sesshomaru's limousine and drove to a small park with a koi pond and bridge. They got out and took a leisurely stroll.

"I'm so glad I came." Kagome murmured as he held her hand in the crook of his elbow. "This evening was heavenly."

"Indeed." Sesshomaru replied softly. He stopped in the middle of the bridge and leaned against the railing with his back to the water. I...had been waiting for an opportunity to ask you out but...it never seemed the right time."

"Why not?" She asked.

"You seem so unsure of me. I'm not sure if it's because you've been hurt." He replied.

"Well, no not really." Kagome replied, standing next to him. "I've just been meeting jerks so much I just didn't want to get caught up and then find out that the guy has some issues and secrets."

Sesshomaru looked out to the pond, the full moon overhead reflecting off the water. "Everyone has issues and secrets, Kagome. It's all in how bad they are."

Kagome looked at him, wondering if she should pursue this discussion. Deciding not to ruin the evening with her constant prattling about how men were jerks, she took it in a different direction.

"So. What's a corporate tycoon like yourself like to do in his spare time?"

"For the most part, I like to ride horses, collect beautiful things, travel..." he replied. "My time tends to be very limited so I must make it where I can."

"...and what about now?" She replied, huskier than she intended, "Am I something that you're just making time for?" Geeze Kagome, where did that come from? She thought, blushing furiously.

Sesshomaru turned and searched her eyes. His molten golden eyes flickered with want and desire. Kagome trembled at the intensity. He ran his finger down the side of her face. "I would make all the time in the world for you, Kagome." He replied before his head dipped.

Kagome, not sure what she was caught up in, met him as he softly brushed her lips with his and then kissed her, first softly and gently. Before long, he was probing her lips with his tongue, seeking entrance. Kagome sighed, opening her mouth and allowing him access.

She melted in his arms as he pulled her closer, wrapping his strong arms around her waist as he deepened the kiss.

He forced himself to pull away from her. Kagome sagged her shoulders disappointedly. "Why did you stop?" She barely whispered. "I want more...I want...I want you."

Sesshomaru pulled her into an embrace. "I want you too Kagome." Leaning down to her ear, he gently nuzzled her. "Can I have you?" He whispered.

Kagome, unable to speak, nodded slowly as he picked her up and walked back to the limousine and got in. The limo sped to his condo in the city, the two of them gently kissing.

Helping her out, he walked her to the private elevator and pushed the top button. Unable to resist her, he began kissing her neck, hugging her close to him. Kagome nearly melted in his arms, wanting him desperately.

As the elevator door opened, Sesshomaru picked her up and carried her through the front door. As they headed upstairs to the bedroom, Kagome got a glimpse of the lavish condo. He stopped at the bed and sat her down, slowly taking his tuxedo jacket off. He pulled her into his arms and drew her into a searing soul searching kiss.

Kagome wrapped her arms around his neck then slid them up to his hair, pulling out the band that was holding his hair up. She always wanted to touch it to see how it felt and it felt like spun silk in her hands. She ran her hands through slowly as she became aware of the fact he was unzipping her dress, which pooled at her feet.

She stood in front of him in her strapless black bra, panties, thigh high stockings and heels. He stopped to look down at her slowly, running his hands along the sides of her body. His eyes were full of animalistic lust. Kagome shuddered beneath the intense gaze, suddenly wondering if this was a mistake. There's something about him – she can't put her finger on it and it gave her chills.

Instinctively she backed up but was halted by him pulling her gently into his arms, gently kissing her neck and rubbing her lower back. Kagome purred and completely relaxed, her hesitations evaporating as he picked her up and laid her on the bed, centering himself just above her. Kagome reached up and untied his necktie and unbuttoned his shirt, kissing him on his neck and listening to him moan.

After slowly undressing each other, Sesshomaru pulled the ultra soft black sheet over them and looked down at her, slightly smiling as he lowered his head down to reclaim her lips gently. Kagome ran her hands down his back, which felt strong and masculine. He was in perfect shape, his body solid and strong as he centered himself over her, kissing her neck and trailing down to the area between her breasts.

Kagome softly moaned as he took one breast in his hand and the other between his lips, gently massaging it with his mouth and tongue. She arched her back and gently pulled his hair. He moved over to the other breast, giving it the same attention he gave the other one. He then began to gently slide his tongue down her body, stopping at her navel and gently kissing and licking its parameter.

Going lower than Kagome's ever experienced, she gasped as his tongue snaked its way through her curls and down even lower, softly caressing her pearl. She moaned loudly, instinctively arching her back upwards as he inserted a finger deep inside of her massaging her inside and out.

Kagome bucked under the new sensations, a far better cry than her first and only sexual encounter where after a few minutes of kissing her, the guy was inside of her and had climaxed before she could snap her fingers. No, this was different. Sesshomaru was a sexy and passionate lover, very attentive to her body's intense responses to his manipulations.

Sesshomaru licked her deep inside and thoroughly, making sure he massaged her pearl to heighten the experience. Kagome was nearly in tears; if she died right now, she'd do so happily. She felt her body tighten, her eyes rolled back in her head as she arched and began to shudder softly, then rhythmically as the first orgasm she ever had radiated upwards. After what seemed like an eternity, she slowly began coming back down to earth.

Sesshomaru gently kissed her pearl and sat up, male pride coursing through him as he watched her body blush; he laid down gently on top of her, kissing her softly on the lips. He sat up and straddled her and guided his member towards her wet and tongue-kissed opening and slowly penetrated her, listening to her gasp at the intrusion. Kagome gripped the sheets, her entire body tensing from the pressure of his massive member slowly working its way inside of her. "Shhh..." he softly cooed into her ear as she whimpered softly in pain. "I'm almost there, koi."

Muscular, powerful, but as patient and gentle as a lamb, he kissed and nuzzled against her cheek as he finally reached the true depths of her body. "Kagome..." he whispered as he waited for her to adjust to his length before he began to move slowly in and out of her. Kagome, already in heaven, began to tremble with another orgasm but Sesshomaru slowed down, prolonging the experience a bit. When she felt her body relax, he began moving again, first very slowly and then speeding up a bit. He maintained complete and rigid control of the passionate lovemaking as Kagome dug her nails into his back.

Kagome felt her world turn upside down as her driven lover slowly administered to her body. She never knew that she could be touched like this. She moaned his name over and over again as he gently rocked himself above her, looking into her eyes as he pushed her thighs further apart. His velvety tongue snaked its way down to her nipple and Kagome arched back, her body spiraling past her threshold.

Kagome ran her tongue around the rim of his earlobe, threading her hands into his long silver white hair and pulled him closer as he moaned out loud. Suddenly he sat up and turned her over. Pushing her face down into the bed, he drove into her and began pumping at her with reckless abandon. Kagome gasped at the sudden change in pace but jumped in full throttle as she screamed "Yes!" over and over again. He grabbed her by the hair and pulled her back to him, kissing her on the lips before pushing her back over and continued his onslaught, running his thumb along the rim of her anus as she gasped in shock. The sounds of their bodies meeting and loud moans echoed throughout the bedroom.

Kagome reached underneath and began running her fingers along her pearl and inadvertently slid her fingers along his shaft as it plunged in and out of her dripping wet center. He snatched her hand away and replaced it with his own. "Mine!" he hissed in that deep sexy voice as he ground his fingertips over her pearl. Kagome bucked her hips wildly at the brutal and passionate pleasure she was receiving.

Suddenly she shrieked; a sharp burning pain radiated on her shoulder. She looked over her shoulder at him and stopped cold. His eyes were nearly bloodshot red. Turning back, she gripped the sheet in fear. He then lowered his head to her shoulder and neck, gently licking her earlobe and nuzzling her. She felt herself relax again as he straightened up and continued impaling her.

As she careened towards what seemed to be her 100th orgasm, she felt his body tighten as he snarled and growled, stiffening his body into a powerful orgasm. All she remembered at that point was him pulling himself off of her and pulling her onto his chest, lightly kissing her forehead. She drifted off into a relaxing sleep.

Kagome suddenly woke up. It was still dark outside. Momentarily forgetting where she was, she was suddenly reminded by her stiff body. Trying to look over her side, Sesshomaru was soundly asleep behind her, his arm wrapped around her, although she couldn't get a full view of him. She looked over at the nightstand. The clock buzzed 4:29am. She slowly slid out of the bed and went into the bathroom to relieve her bladder. She looked into the mirror and smiled. She couldn't even remember any of her friends ever talking about sex being that great!

She looked around the bathroom. It was huge; a roman tub in the corner next to a large shower. The room was lined in black marble with gold accents. She turned off the light and cracked the door open when she suddenly winced. Running her hand along her left shoulder, she suddenly remembered being scratched during their lovemaking.

Turning the light back on, she made her way over to a full length mirror and turned slightly and gasped. Just over her shoulder blades was what appeared to be 4 huge gashes. Horrified, Kagome's heart began racing, trying to remember what was going on at the moment that it happened.

His eyes! They were red. Not bloodshot, she realized as she replayed that moment in her head, they were red. Oh no! What have I gotten myself into?

Kagome turned off the bathroom light and walked quietly back into the bedroom. The moon glow coming in through the window caught his face. Kagome recoiled in terror; he had two magenta stripes across each of his cheeks. There was a blue crescent moon tattoo on his forehead. His nails, which were originally manicured nice and short, were horrifyingly long and resembled claws. He suddenly yawned and as he opened his mouth, she saw he had both upper and lower fangs.

Slowly backing up, Kagome's eyes filled with tears. "What are you?" She whispered in a low tone. A monster that's what, she realized. She had bedded a monster. Of all the men in all the places in all the entire world, she had to find a monster. Vampire, devil, monster – she wasn't sure what he was but she wasn't going to stick around to find out.

Kagome tiptoed back over to the bed, picking up her clothes and shoes. She quietly exited the bedroom, got dressed and grabbed her purse before running out the door and down to the elevator. The soft ding of the elevator made her cringe. She hoped no one heard it as she got in and pushed the lobby level. When the elevator opened, she sprinted out the front door as fast as she could.

Hailing the first cab she saw, Kagome got in and made the long journey back to her apartment. Dragging herself through the door, Kagome pulled off the clothes and got into the shower. Sliding down to the floor, she sobbed for nearly a half hour.

Pulling herself together, she stood up and bathed herself, almost like trying to rid herself of his touch. His gentle, passionate touch. She shook her head. She needed to not think on how pleasant the memories of him were.

Afterwards she got out and dried herself. Putting on tee shirt and panties, she crawled into bed. Fear turned into exhaustion as it soon overtook her and she drifted to sleep.

Kagome woke up in the early afternoon to the sound of her ringing cell phone. She got up and answered it without thinking.

"Where are you and why did you leave me?" A deep baritone voice asked angrily.

Kagome, suddenly remembering last night, hung up and dropped the phone. It immediately began ringing again. She backed away from it, as though it were a snake. She quickly threw on jeans, a shirt and some shoes and grabbed her purse before running out the door as if trying to hide from the nightmare.

She walked down the street and went inside a coffee house she patronized. She sat down to a tall cup of hot coffee, sipping it slowly as she tried to calm her frazzled nerves. He'll probably try to kill me now that I know, she thought. She was terrified and didn't know what to do. She hadn't told anyone she even knew him, much less had slept with him. She thought about calling Sango but thought better of it; the fewer people who knew, the safer they would be, she reasoned.

She tried to rationalize her entire involvement with him, from when they first met to the jasmine tea lunches to the date and the subsequently sexual encounter afterwards. Was he really so bad? She asked herself. Besides the scratches in the heat of passion, he hadn't really hurt her. Maybe he had his reasons for hiding what he was. She shook her head. He had hidden the truth and that was all that mattered.

After spending nearly the entire afternoon in the coffee house, Kagome decided to go home. When she got inside her apartment, her cell phone was still ringing. Cringing and knowing she had to eventually face this, she answered it.

"Hey Kagome!" Sango cheerfully greeted. Kagome sighed in relief. "Hey yourself. What's up?"

"Listen, I'll be in at 11:30 tomorrow. Miroku and I are going to the doctor...we need to see if we're pregnant!"

"Oh Sango, congratulations!" Kagome exclaimed, almost tearing up. "I hope you are!"

"Yeah me too!" Sango said. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing," Kagome lied. "I had a rough night, is all. My neighbors partied too loud so my head hurts and I'm a bit crabby."

"No, you sound frightened." Sango replied, worried about her friend. "I can come over if you like."

"No, it's nothing. Please spend the day with Miroku and I'll talk to you soon."

"Well alright but call me if you need to talk." Sango said.

Kagome hung up her phone and immediately checked for voice mail messages. There was one from her mother and two from him. She deleted them without listening to them. She put her phone down and it rang instantly. Shaking, she knew she couldn't put it off any longer. She opened the phone and put it to her ear.

"Please Kagome! Don't hang up!" His deep voice rang out almost desperately. Kagome closed her eyes slowly, cringing. She slid to the floor as if her legs could no longer support her.

"Please...hear me out." He said, after realizing she was still holding. "Are you there?"

She didn't respond.

Sesshomaru sighed. "I apologize. You were not supposed to find out like this. I woke up and you weren't there and I got angry. I was too angry to realize that you could see...well, after I left the first two messages, I focused and looked down and saw my claws. I looked into the mirror and saw that my barrier had fallen and I realized that you knew. I never meant to hurt you or upset you. Forgive me."

"What are you?" She whispered fearfully. "Will you kill me because I know?"

"Of course not! I could never hurt you. Please Kagome, let me come and get you. I want to have this discussion right there with you. I want to hold you in my arms and reassure you."

"No!" She nearly screamed. "Stay away from me!"

"Kagome..." he breathed, "I won't hurt you. Please. Let me come to you."

Kagome tensed, tears falling down her face. She didn't know what to do. She prayed silently to the gods for guidance.

"Kagome..." He murmured.

"I'll meet you...in that park with the koi pond...where we went after dinner last night. I'll be there in an hour." She said, hanging up. She was shaking, not sure if she should show up or not. If he was as rich and powerful as she thought he was, he would find her anyway. This way she could meet him in public. She got up and washed her face and headed out the door.

The cab pulled up to the park as Kagome paid him and got out. With trepidation, she walked to the bridge and leaned against it. She was 15 minutes early. She was frightened, not sure what to expect. She looked around the park; there weren't that many people, she realized. Maybe she should have chosen a more public place.

She was too frightened. She needed to get out of there. She turned to walk back down the bridge.

"Kagome."

Kagome jumped and turned. Sesshomaru, standing there in a pair of jeans and a Sean John shirt, put up his hands in front of him. "It's alright. I won't hurt you." He said softly as he took a step towards her. She instinctively took a step back.

Sesshomaru stopped, his eyes filled with concern and worry. "Thank you for coming. I wanted to explain things to you face-to-face."

"What are you?" Kagome asked, her voice shaking.

"I'm a demon; dog demon to be exact." Sesshomaru replied. "I've lived for hundreds of centuries. I was once Lord of the Western Lands but now I'm a business man. I own several companies and other than telling you what I am, I've been completely honest with you."

"A dog demon?" Kagome quirked. "How have you come to exist and no one knows of you?"

"We live privately and quietly," He explained, "we once roamed the lands and ruled over them until the humans overpopulated. Many of us demons live among you. Those of us who are able to go out without barriers and you'd never know the difference, and then demons like myself who have to utilize a barrier to cover up the markings."

"So what happened last night?" Kagome asked. She was feeling less threatened but she was still afraid.

He seemed to sense that and took a step towards her. "In the heat of passion, my barrier fell and I didn't realize it until the next morning after you left and I left two messages. I never intended to take you into my bed. I didn't think we were ready for that yet, with me not telling you what I really am."

"But you should have told me!" Kagome fumed. "I should have known before I got so involved with you. Why me anyway?"

"You thrill me, Kagome. I burn with a passion that I haven't felt in a very long time. You're not content with accepting what I say as fact and you revel in challenging me in every sense but I didn't think you were ready to find out what I really am yet. I want to get to know you, be with you and if possible, start a life with you."

He took another step towards her. "On this bridge last night, there was something in your eyes and your voice that made me crazy with passion. I couldn't resist you."

Kagome looked at him. His eyes were softer. "How old are you anyway?" She asked.

"I am in my 800th year." He replied.

Kagome's eyes widened. "Wow. You look good for 800."

Sesshomaru laughed. "Thank you."

"You mentioned your brother is a doctor. Is he a demon like you?"

"Well, sort of. Inuyasha's mother was human. He has my eye and hair color but when he's not wearing his barrier, he actually has dog ears. His name means 'dog spirit.' I think you two would like each other."

Kagome let out a giggle. "I wouldn't mind seeing that."

Sesshomaru smiled wryly at her. "I'll be sure to introduce you."

Kagome looked down. She was confused as to what she should do when suddenly he was in front of her, pulling her into his arms. Initially resisting, she softly melted into his arms, his warmth felt comforting.

"I desperately needed to hold you," he whispered, breathing a sigh of relief. "Thank you for letting me."

Kagome looked up into his face. His markings were gone. "Can I see again?"

"Not in public." he replied. "Let me take you back to my condo and I'll show you again."

Kagome hesitated. Did she want to go back into his lair so soon? She was afraid but somehow she felt that he wouldn't hurt her. But still...

"I won't hurt you, Kagome. You have nothing to fear from me."

"Can you read my thoughts or something?" She demanded, her hands on her hips as she pulled away from him.

"No," he chuckled, "but I can sense your moods by scent and by feeling. Right now I can feel your hesitation and fear but I also sense that you know I won't hurt you."

"Oh." She said thoughtfully. "Okay," she decided slowly, "we can go back to your place."

"Good." Sesshomaru smiled as he took her hand and led her out of the park to his Lexus.

"Do you live at the condo?" Kagome asked as they drove through the streets.

"It's where I stay when I'm in Tokyo on business." He replied. "I have a huge estate outside of Kyoto. It's my ancestral home; mine and Inuyasha's. It's where I can go and relax without barriers and if I want to, assume my true form."

"And your true form is..."

"A huge white dog," he replied. "But I don't take the form often. As a matter of fact, I haven't assumed it in over 300 years. It's easier to get around in my humanoid form and besides, a 30 foot dog might cause a lot of problems."

"I see." Kagome murmured, trying to picture what he'd look like as a really big white dog.

They got to the condo and went up to the penthouse. Once inside, Kagome walked towards the middle of the room and faced him.

"Okay, let's see." Kagome whispered, frightened a little bit.

Sesshomaru stood in front of her and closed his eyes. A red cloud swirled around him as his nails suddenly lengthened. When the cloud disappeared, he stood in front of her as his demon self; his blue crescent moon almost glowed on his forehead and the magenta stripes were angled from near his now pointed ears. His long claws looked just as graceful as they did before when the looked normal.

Kagome hesitated but then stepped up to him, slowly running her hands across his face. She traced his crescent moon and then his stripes. She then ran her fingers along his ear, jumping a bit when he hissed.

"Did that hurt?" She asked him.

"No it's an erogenous zone," he smirked.

"Oh." She said blushing furiously. "Um, do you have other markings?" She asked as she ran her hands down his arms to his claws, which were razor sharp. "You scratched me last night."

"Yes, the magenta stripes on my face are also on my shoulders, hands and pelvis." He replied, watching her intensely. "I apologize for scratching you. I can help you heal without scars."

"Really?" She asked. "When I saw them, they were hideous."

"Well, it will take some close contact between us but they will heal." He replied.

"What will you have to do?" She said, eager to be rid of the ugly scars.

"Do you trust me?"

Kagome looked at him. She wasn't sure but if he hadn't killed her by now...

"Okay...yes." She replied.

"Turn around and pull your blouse down where your scars are." He commanded softly.

Kagome slowly turned around and took her blouse down. Sesshomaru walked close to her and took the strap of her bra down, causing her to jump. Not sure what to expect, her body completely tensed up when she felt heat drag upwards on one of the scars. She suddenly realized – he's licking me!

"Hey!" Kagome yelled.

"I have healing additives in my saliva," he explained. "Be still. It won't take long."

Kagome nearly protested but then decided to let him continue his ministrations. He slowly licked all four scratches, making sure to coat them with a thick layer of his saliva. Soon she realized she needed to fight the arousal that was working its way up inside of her.

"Hey," she asked nervously, "can you, uh, sense something in me?"

"Yes, but I'll ignore it." He replied with a hint of amusement in his voice, continuing his wound care. "It would not be wise for me to make love to you right now."

Kagome could have shot herself. She was sure she was as red as a tomato.

"Done." He murmured, as he pulled her bra strap back up. Kagome hurriedly put her blouse on.

"I need to think about things." She said, aware that his intense gaze was watching her every movement. "I'm confused and really don't know what to think and I want to make the right decision."

"That's acceptable." He replied. "I will be at the teahouse tomorrow. Will I see you there?"

Kagome thought about it. "If you see me, then maybe this is something we can work out. If not, then please don't..."

"I understand. Shall I take you home?"

Kagome instructed him to take her back to the park. They left the condo and got back into his car and he dropped her off at the park a short time later. Kagome got out and kept walking, not looking back. She couldn't. She would cry if she looked back. She hailed a cab and rode back to her apartment.

She was so confused; she didn't know what to do.

On the one hand, he was sexy and passionate and everything she ever wanted in a man.

On the other, he wasn't a man.

But he was kind and gentle and argumentative and intelligent.

But he wasn't a man.

Why was his demon nature an issue? Half the men she ever met came across as apes and baboons. He acted a vast deal better than all of them, bar none.

But still. He's not a man.

Kagome sighed. This wasn't an easy decision. She thought to call Sango but she didn't know how her friend would take it. It was a decision she needed to make on her own.

The next day Kagome sat in her office, still trying to decide if she was going to contact him. Sango knocked on her door.

"Hey you!" She said, smiling wide and nodding with her hand over her stomach.

"You are! You're pregnant!" Kagome exclaimed, catching the hint. "Oh Sango I'm so happy for you!"

"Thank you!" She screamed, hugging Kagome tight. "We've wanted this for so long and now that it's here, I'm so scared."

"What do you mean by you're scared?" Kagome asked, confused.

"Well, I know I want children and so does Miroku," Sango replied. "You know he was a horrible womanizer for the longest. I was never sure if we would work out, seeing he had all his stupid issues but then he decided he would give all of that up and be with me so I had to decide if I was looking at someone who might hurt me or if I was looking at the rest of my life. He got past his issues and made things up to me. I have to give him a chance and even if we failed, I'm glad I took that chance. I'm scared because I'm heading down a path I'm not sure where it'll take me but at the same time, I'm not alone. I have the man that I love."

Kagome thought about this and looked up at the clock. It was 12:10.

"I have to go!" She suddenly said as she grabbed her purse.

"Kagome!" Where are you going?" Sango yelled out.

"Uh, I'll tell you the whole story when I get back! And thank you! You've helped me a lot!"

Kagome hurried down the street towards the tea house. It was now 12:20. The street was unusually crowded as she made her way through.

"Please be there." She said out loud.

She arrived at the tea house and looked through the window. He was sitting in his same spot with his hands up to his chin, anxiously waiting for her. Kagome took a deep breath and walked in.

Sesshomaru looked up and seeing her, his eyes widened. He stood up as she walked over to the table as everyday traffic floated by the teahouse unimpeded. What a beautiful day and the possibilities were endless...if you were willing to accept issues and secrets...

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The reason why I ended the chapter like this is I wanted the reader to imagine what happened - did they sit down and talk things over, or did Kagome decide she couldn't deal? I also wanted the reader to imagine seeing Sess and Kags through the lens of a camera as it panned out to the street traffic just as they were meeting. This story, along with the "Play Date" may be turned into a serial but I'm in the middle of the Dreamcatcher series and the sequel to "Seekers" so I'll decide after that.

I hope you enjoyed this. Reviews are as always welcomed.
