Parte Un

Okay, Kagome, relax. This is not the end of the world. It's just an interview to work at the biggest, richest, and shadey-est night club chain in the massive city of Tokyo. It pays well, and the bouncers are very powerful, and...

How on earth did I end up with a job interview at a night club?!?!?

That's right. I am Kagome Higurashi, the 18 year old high school graduate going nowhere fast. I got good grades in school, scholarships to all sorts of artsy universities, but here I am in downtown Tokyo. How did Miroku come up with this job interview anyways? And what's it for? I really don't know, all I'm aiming for is a job, but at this rate I may end up as a freaking hooker!

I'll have to kill Miroku when I get back to Kyoto.

I look over my choices as I near the entrance to the sleazy night club called Shakes. I didn't want to get into design or art, but my mother forced me to take those types of classes, so that's all I got scholarships for. What I wanted was a business degree, and I'll have to upgrade my high school diploma to get into any business post-secondary school, which I can't afford.

The bouncer lets me in while examining me like I'm a piece of meat, which makes me shudder. The club is less crowded than I thought it would be, but full of demons. Every single male looks at me much like the bouncer did. Kami, all this for a job I'm definately going to hate...Miroku is so dead.

I weave my way over to the bar, being on the recieveing end of more than one hand on my ass. Thank Kami I'm wearing jeans and a long-sleeved t-shirt! I manage to squeeze between two loner-type guys and call to the bar-tender, "Excuse me?"

The bartender is a scared up young guy with an out of place fatherly disposition. He gives me a smile and asks, "What can I do for you, little lady?"

"I need to find somebody." I tell him as he comes over to my side of the bar.

"Like who?" asks the bartender, cleaning a random glass.

"Miroshima, Koga. Do you know him?"

The bartender pauses and gives me a concerned look. "You don't want to be finding him, kid. Trust me."

"I'm here for a job interview, not to be one of his toys." I say. "I've already been warned about his...wandering eye."

I've got a soon to be dead friend like him, too. I think darkly.

The bartender points to a hall that is guarded by some rather unpleasent beings. "He's in a private room in some sort of meeting. Just ask for him and they'll let you in."

I thank the bartender and do as he says. As I'm led to this 'meeting', one of the unpleasent guard-type characters mutters something about a pedofile, but I don't hear anything more; mainly because I'm practically shoved into a boardroom. Surprising, right? A boardroom in a nightclub.

Learn something new everyday, don't you? This is most certainly Tokyo city.

The talking going on between the two men in the room stops at my less than gentle enterance. One has really long black hair and brown eye. His tail leads me to think he is a wolf demon. The other has long white hair and eyes of gold. He's dressed in one of those fancy armani or whatever suites, and I just blink. Strange pair.

"Who the hell are you?" asks the wolf rudely. The white-haired god remains silent and emotionless.

"Depends on who you are." I say smoothly, leaning heavily on one leg.

The wolf frowns in confusion. "You the kid Miroku sent?"

I roll my eyes. "No, I'm the tooth fairy."

The wolf, who I can only asume is Koga, grins. "Damn, you do bite."

I resist the urge to roll my eyes again and get straight to the point. "If this job I'm being offered has anything to do with prostitution, hooking, selling, drugs, or anything even remotely like being a slave to the underworld, I'll just leave now."

"I don't sell human kids, I keep them for myself." says Koga, standing. "But, what with you being a miko capable of purifying my balls off-"

"Miroku told you that?" I ask.

Koga nods. "Among other things."

"Good, all the more reason to kill him." I chirp happily.

The white haired demon raises an eyebrow at me, but continues his reign of silence. His eyes haven't left me since I entered the room. Talk about creepy.

Koga snaps his finger to gain my attention again. He does not look to happy about losing my attention. "We're starting you off as a maid."

Well, that's respectable! "Sounds good to me." I say, hiding my surprise and glee.

Koga smirks and walks to my side. Putting an arm around my shoulders, he points to the god-like silent guy and says, "He is your employer."

I snake out of Koga's grip and bow to the as of yet unnamed man. Once again, he doesn't move."Thank you for this oportunity, sir."

My employer stands and heads for the door, taking hold of my arm and dragging me along. I stumble along, and my 'captor' says, "She will not be staying for any sort of party you come up with, Koga."

I don't miss the wolf demon's frown, and when I've been dragged half way down the hall, I hear Koga call, "You're welcome, Tashio!"

I'm pulled through the club by the arm, and nobody comes close enough to touch me. Apparently this 'Tashio' guy is dangerous or something. I'm still having trouble keeping up, unfortunately. At this rate,I'm gonna fall on my face.

But I'm practically tossed into the front passenger seat of a silver porshe before that happens. Tashio closes the door carefully and goes to get into the drivers side. Before he gets in, though, I see a folder with my name on it on his seat.

When he gets in, he tosses it in the back. He's still silent as he starts his expensive car and speeds away from Shakes. I'm trying to think of something, anything to say. And what's with the folder?

"Miss. Higurashi, have you been told the details of your employment?" asks Tashio. I shiver. His voice is amazing, really. You'd have to hear it to believe it, or to know what I'm talking about.

"All I was told was where to go and who to meet." I answer. This I was not very happy about, let me tell you.

"Incompetent humans." Tashio mutters then says, "You will have a private room and bathroom in my house, along with an allowance of 400$ a week, which will be given out on Mondays. You will deal with household issues from 6am to 9pm, Monday to Saturday. On Sundays you will be tutored in business and have the afternoon to yourself, but you must be home for 7pm. Understand?"

Well....that's alot to take in in one go. I just nod. 400$ for just clothing and personal items...I don't think I've ever spent that much in a month. And business tutorage...

To say I'm just a little mind-bottled would be an understatement. Then Tashio starts speaking again. "This weekend you will familiarize yourself with the house, your duties, and the rules. Your uniform arrives on Monday, and you will always address me as Master." I nod again. "Anything your human mind can't keep up with?"

"Nope. It seems pretty straight-forward to me." I answer truthfully. Tashio 'hn's and it's quiet again. I lean my head against the window and close my eyes. Oye, talk about a long day.
