The fallen rain washes away the unnoticed pain I hold within me. Everyone looks at me and thinks I am happy, but inside I am dying. Don't they see that I am broken? A fallen angel is what I am. Fallen from the heavens high above I am fallen. Cast from my home never to see its beauty.

Another soul gazes at me and sees my pain which mirrors his own. I nod to him as he gazes at me seeming to others not to care though for me this is his greeting. We greet one another this way every time we meet, me seemingly protecting his half brother, him seemingly attacking his half brother. But no! I do this because this is our communication. This time though it is different. He doesn't even acknowledge the others but he beckons to me. I step forth to accept his offered hand. "So Kagome, do you go with me this time?" He asked.

"Yes Sesshoumaru, today I go with you." Everyone's jaw dropped at this revelation.

"Wench, you can't go with him! I forbid it!" Inuyasha cried. "You need to detect the shards of the jewel you broke." The last two words were practically screamed.

I turned toward him my mask gone. No longer was I the happy girl they had met. No, let in her place was the girl they never knew. "You broke your promise to protect me, no I break mine to stay with you."

My former companions jaws dropped once more, "But Kagome . . ." Sango said before I cut her off.

"I am leaving I have already given you my reason. I don't want to stay here any more. I do like you all, well except for maybe Inuyasha but that is fine. All he has ever done was play with my heart when I gave it too him freely. Now I leave in order to protect it."
