"Aahhheeeeee"

The squeal of a little girl awoke Sesshomaru just before the light weight of a four year old body hit him from above the covers. Pulling back the heavy black comforter, Sesshomaru blinked the sleep out of his eyes as he looked at the little girl sitting on his covered lap. With the sleep cleared from his eyes Sesshomaru noticed the condition of the girl in front of him.

"You ran from Keade before she could bathe you again didn't you Rin?" It was not really a question, but more of a statement. Rin tilted her head to the side and gave him a smile. "I don't want a bath, I want to watch cartoons. Tell Keade that I can watch cartoons instead...pleeeeaaasssseee" batting her eyes Rin's pop tart crumb covered mouth gave a pout.

Looking at the wild greasy black hair flying everywhere while covered in, what he could only assume to be, pop tart crumbs as well; Sesshomaru raised his left eyebrow. "You need a bath Rin. Now go to Keade and take one." Seeing that she wasn't going to get her way Rin crossed her arms and gave a pout to Sesshomaru before doing a complete 180 and leaning forward to kiss his cheek. "Fine I'll take a bath, but I'm going to play a looonnggg time in there."

Smirking as her tiny legs carried her out of his room; Sesshomaru couldn't help but ask himself if he had made a mistake adopting Rin. Sure she was entertaining and she, being human, defiantly gave his sudden instinctual feelings of a need for the addition of a pup into his pack a temporary relief. But she tended to upset his life from being as it always had been, scheduled and under complete control.

Looking over to his left Sesshomaru saw the time, it appeared that Rin had yet again delayed his schedule. Getting up he walked into his connected bathroom and prepared for his day.

Walking down the long hall in his entirely black suit with black shirt and golden tie, Sesshomaru ran into Rin yet again. More like she ran into him. Looking down at the wet little girl as she sat on her bottom and looked back at him with a cute surprised look on her face Sesshomaru came to one conclusion. 'Definitely not a mistake'. Smiling down at Rin, Sesshomaru leaned down, picked her up and carried her down stairs with him.

"You're wearing the tie Rin gave you!" Giving Rin a mild glare Sesshomaru nodded his head. "Sorry, I mean 'I' gave you".

As they reached the dinning room Sesshomaru put her down. Sitting in his seat in front of the already plated breakfast and coffee, Sesshomaru opened up the newspaper. Sitting in the seat next to him Rin merely looked up at Sesshomaru. Seconds later a cook came out with a glass of milk for Rin. "Pop tarts are not a proper breakfast. If she eats such again then you will be looking for another job." The cold voice of Sesshomaru had the cook startling. "Understood my lord, it won't happen again." With that said the cook practically ran out of the room.

"Rin read the comics." Looking up from her milk Rin noticed that Sesshomaru had put the comics in front of her. Nodding her head Rin picked them up and began to attempt to read them. Seeing that she was sounding out the words Sesshomaru gave a silent praise within his head, 'she will be the most intelligent child in her class. As is expected of this Sesshomaru's pup'. Turning back to the newspaper Sesshomaru continued to read.

The final elder generation of the Tashio family passed last week to what we have been told was old age. Taka Tashio, the beloved younger brother of the late Nara Tashio, and uncle to the three of Nara Tashio's sons', was buried in the family tomb yesterday. Astoundingly though, neither Sesshomaru Tashio nor his younger half-brother Inuyasha Tashio showed. Only Sesshomaru's younger brother Kazar Tashio, who had been living with Taka since his mother's death, showed. When asked as to why they didn't show their PR rep responded that they were "busy with work", though this is understandable seeing as Sesshomaru is the head of Tashio Enterprises and Inuyasha is his right-hand man, many question if it was the real reason. It is a well known fact that Taka hated Inuyasha due to the scandal his existence stood for, as well as it is a known fact that Sesshomaru and his uncle have not been seen together ever since his father's death. The question is what really happened between the family members with Lika Tashio's death and Izoiye Tashio's admittance into the family. This reporter thinks...

Huffing Sesshomaru turned the page and made a mental note to fire his PR rep, it was about time he got a new one. Cara was proving to be a little annoying in her pursuit of him anyways, 'maybe I'll put InuYasha in charge of replacing Cara'.

Sighing internally Sesshomaru started to read the story he was looking for before he had gotten sidetracked, the tragic on-going tale of the Hikari High School students that were missing. Under normal circumstances Sesshomaru couldn't care less about some missing high school students, but this time it involved his company's name. Tashio Enterprises was a well known medical research and manufacturing facility. The police had discovered that it was a green gas that incapacitated the students, though it had yet to be released as of who the gas came from, but Sesshomaru had a bad feeling deep in the pit of his stomach. The story was a popular one and was being followed by the public carefully.

The police are still looking for the ten missing high school students from a month ago. Though the parents still hold hope that they are going to find them alive, there are many that fear it hopeless. As those of you who have been following the story know, it was about a month ago that there had been a school graduation trip to the coast for three days. For some reason ten of the students were delayed in getting to the buses for the trip home and got left behind. One teacher had stayed behind as a chaperone for the ten. They ended up having to catch a public bus back to the school due to the chartered one having a mysterious engine problem. According to witnesses the bus took off well before noon, however by night the next day it had yet to show up. The authorities had found it on the side of the road covered in the teacher's blood. The teacher, a Willie Ryle, had been gutted. The weird thing though was that the bus driver was missing with the ten students. On a hopeful note, the police have announced that they now know where the gas found in the ventilation system of the bus is from. Apparently, it was an experimental gas from the military weapons sector of the Tashio Enterprises building...

Reading this Sesshomaru dropped the paper with one thing repeating over and over in his head, 'shit shit shit SHIT SHIT!'. This was going to be a REALLY big problem. Everyone associated the company with the uses of its product, whether subconsciously or not.

Grunting, Sesshomaru got up and walked to the front door. "Daddy wait!" turning around Sesshomaru noticed Rin running after him carrying his briefcase; apparently he had been so preoccupied that he forgot it on the table. Looking around with his eyes he breathed a breath of relief as seeing that no body was around to see such an incompetent move on his part. Reaching down to retrieve the briefcase from Rin Sesshomaru gave her a brief kiss on the forehead before turning and going out the door.

As he reached the driveway the limo pulled up, getting in Sesshomaru demanded to be taken to Tashio headquarters immediately.

It was as Sesshomaru was looking through his paperwork and reviewing the rest of the article on the missing students that he heard a slight hissing. Looking up he realized that he could not smell anything; his sense of smell was completely gone. Reaching for the door he found it locked as well as another sense deprivation, his touch. He could not feel the door, nor have the strength to rip the locked door off its hinges. As he blinked his eyes Sesshomaru realized that he was now losing his sight and soon he could only guess his consciousness as well. With one last conscious action he reached into his coat and dialed Inuyasha's phone number with his cell before passing out.
