Love Through Time by Jona

Chapter 1: A wish upon the Stars…

A goddess! That's what the young girl staring up at the full moon, could be described as. She had long, midnight hair that cascaded like a waterfall down to her lower back. All those wavy tresses looked almost blue under the light of the moon. The cool wind fluttered her long bangs revealing an angelic face. Her face was heart shaped and elegant with high, rosy cheekbones. Her pale and flawless skin created a breathtaking contrast with her dark midnight hair. Her large, exotic dark blue eyes the color of a stormy sky, could pierce you straight to your soul. Her heavy, long leashes could make a man's heart beat faster every time she flattered them. Her small nose was followed by a beautiful mouth that could make a man weak to their knees. Those two full red lips were now stretched into a lazy, almost dreamy smile as she watched the sky. She was standing tall in the middle of her garden, her slim body engulfed in the magic light of the moon. The long white nightgown she wore, flowing around her, made her seem like a creature of the light with a presence that radiated sensuality and purity.

"Ahh" a whispered sigh escaped her rosy petals, penetrating the silent night. "If life was just as beautiful as you stars" her sweet voice held a slight huskiness to it that she sometimes used as a seduction weapon when necessary. The young woman sat on the fresh, soft grass, and brought her knees to her chest never once taking her eyes from the magic sight above her. Her curled up position gave her the look of a lost little girl.

"Kagome Higurashi, one of the richest people in the world. One of the most successful and attractive top models ever. An intelligent twenty-year-old woman attending Law school at Harvard Law School. I basically own everything a person would dream of and still I'm not happy." The young woman continued whispering to herself, her voice soft as if she was afraid of breaking the peaceful, magic atmosphere.

"Tell me stars, why am I so unhappy? What is missing in my life? I just wish to be happy and free, away from all this stress!" her voice took a pleading tone.

Just a moment after her confession, a star winked down at her, making the young woman blink, but what happened next was what startled her the most. A lightening struck straight from the sky, hitting the ground some feet away from her. The light grew brighter and brighter forcing Kagome to shield her eyes against its brightness. A warm wind flew in her direction and a soft musical voice spoke from the center of the light before her.

"As you wish!" Then the light disappeared leaving no trace as if it was never there to begin with.

Kagome stood still staring at the place where the light had been some moments ago. Her face was pale, her blue eyes were wide, her lips slightly parted and she was trembling from head to toe. Her feet felt like they were glued to the ground and her strength had evaporated leaving her all but shaken and scared. Feelings that she had never felt that deeply before seemed to take her breath away. She had never seen something like that and could still not believe her eyes.

As if realizing her helpless situation, her expression of disbelief changed into an angry frown but her eyes still expressed confusion. Her hands clenched into tight fists and her full lips drew into a straight, thin line. Angry with herself for feeling scared, Kagome rose from the ground, her body rigid, and looked around her as if trying to find some answers to what had just happened. Finding nothing, she sighed and forced herself to relax.

"I must be going insane. Damn, all these sleepless nights are catching up with me."

Shaking her head in disbelief and trying to suppress the shivers going down her spine, she started walking towards her house, but still couldn't help but feel as if something in her life had already changed.
