The Ice Begins to Melt

Kagome began to prepare to heal Sesshomaru's arm. The actual healing it self wouldn't happen until the night fell completely, so she had a few hours to kill.

{FLASHBACK}

"As I was saying before my younger brother so rudely interupted, I need you to heal my arm." Sesshomaru said.

"Really?" Kagome asked nervously. She had only done this once before on a village girl, and they had both needed to be completely naked for it to work.

Obviously Inuyasha remembered. "NO WAY!"

"Shut up, Inuyasha!" Kagome said.

"So will you heal my arm? In return I will travel with you to hunt for Naraku. He is close by." Sesshomaru said.

"Yes, I will." Kagome said.

{END FLASHBACK}

Inuyasha had been so angry at her he holed himself up in a tree for the rest of the day. He was still up there now, and it was almost sunset. Sesshomaru spent the day killing fish in a nearby stream, and Sango and Miroku were sitting with Kikyo, talking.

Kagome stood, finished packng the things needed for her bath. If she was going to stand naked in a hot spring healing Sesshomaru, why not take a bath while she was at it?

Kagome didn't think Sesshomaru would mind if she stayed longer to bathe. She figured he would take one himself. **How else is his hair so nice and soft?** Kagome though. **What the hell kind of thought was that? I don't like Sesshomaru that way."

"Miko, it is time for us to go," came Sesshomaru's silken voice.

Kagome began to get a little irritated. "I have a name. It's not miko, it's Kagome."

"Very well, Kagome." Sesshomaru complied, "Let's be off. "

Brushing her skirt off, Kagome took a glance at Inuyasha, who looked away, as if he was caught staring. She turned back to Sesshomaru, and asked, "How will we be getting there?"

"There is a hot spring about a mile from here, and we can go two ways. We can ride on my "cloud" as you call it, or you can ride on my back. I am being very polite, miko. Choose." Sesshomaru said.

"Once again, my name is Kagome." Kagome said. She was about to say she would like to ride on his cloud but then had the sudden desire to make Inuyasha jelous and ride on his back. "I'll ride on your back."

Sesshomaru bent down in front of her, and Kagome took a seat on his lower back. Placing his hands on her thighs, Sesshomaru gripped her tighlty as he took off in to the forest at a breakneck pace, Kagome's hands wound in to a knot on his chest.

Soon they had come in to a clearing with a small hot spring in the center, with a waterfall on the far end and a tree cascading down the front, as if trying to match the water's movements. Night had quickly fallen upon them, and it was not soon before it was time for the healing to begin.

"I'll change first, so if you don't mind turning around, I'll be getting undressed." Kagome said, as she made a circle motion with her hands. Sesshomaru complied, and soon Kagome was in the water, deep enough so the water covered her chest.

"You can change now, Sesshomaru" Kagome said.

Sesshomaru took off his clothing, Kagome studying his muscular chest with great intensity, then blushing and turning her head when he began to remove his pants. She heard a small splash behind her and she turned her head back, her eyes locking with Sesshomaru's. Kagome studied him closely. His silver-blue hair cascaded from his head, the tips just hitting the water ever so slightly. his chest, ripped and hard, flexed with each breath. His arm had several purple stripes on it, as she remembered the other one having so. From his waist down was covered by water, so she couldn't see those parts to well.

Sesshomaru noticed her staring. "Do I intrigue you, Kagome?"

"A little," Kagome confessed.

"Well let the healing begin, shall we?" Sesshomaru said.

Kagome grouped her long, onyx locks to the front, so her chest would be covered when she came towards him. She walked slowly towards him, the moonlight hitting her face so it made her look like some kind of fairy or angel. Sesshomaru noticed this and his inner beast purred.

Soon Kagome's body was just inches from Sesshomaru's, her hands touching the stump that used to be his left arm. Her hands glowed with her miko energy, and her hair flared out. Sesshomaru watched in amazement(and not alot of things amaze Sesshomaru) as the stump grew longer, and shaped into what he remembered his left arm to be like. It was a perfect replica.

"Thank you, Kagome." Sesshomaru said, his new hand brushing her cheek as Kagome scrambled to regroup her hair in front.

"It was really no trouble." Kagome said. brushing her bangs from her eyes. "If you don't mind Sesshomaru, as long as I'm here I'm going to take a bath. So you can head back to camp if you want."

"I cannot leave you here. You don't know the way back." Sesshomaru stated. "Perhaps I should bathe with you."

"What? Bathe with me?" Kagome repeated, her face turing a bright shade of pink.

"Yes. It would be no different than now," Sesshomaru said.

"Well, okay." Kagome said, then strode over to her bag and picked up her shampoo and conditioner.

"What is that?" Sesshomaru asked.

"It's shampoo and conditioner. It cleans my hair." Kagome said, opening the bottle and squirting some into her hand.

"Will you clean my hair with it?" Sesshomaru asked.

"Sure, i guess." Kagome walked over to Sesshomaru and began to massage the shampoo into his scalp.

"This scent is new to me. What do you call it?" Sesshomaru asked.

"It's called Brazillian Nut Oil." Kagome said. "It also had cocoa in it"

"Cocoa?"

"Chocolate." Kagome laughed. "Okay dunk your head underwater." Sessomaru did as he was told.

He came up seconds later, facing Kagome. His face was dripping, and he had this odd look in his eyes.

Sesshomaru was battling with himself.

"You want her." his inner beast growled.

**She is not mine.**Sesshomaru thought.\\

"But she's not his either,"his inner beast argued, thinking of Inuyasha.

"But...."

"Sesshomaru?" Kagome asked, looked at him.

Suddendly Sesshomaru's eyes turned red, and Kagome stiffened with fear. The last time she saw Sesshomaru's eyes this was was when he turned into his dog form. But she got a little closer, and looked into his eyes more carefully. They were staring at her full of lust and want, not anger and hatred. Sesshomaru put his hands on her shoulders and pulled her close and kissed her.

Kagome melted against him. **Kami, he is an unbeliveable kisser!** Sesshomaru was roaming her mouth, trying to taste every bit of it and suceeding. Kagome tried to battle him for dominance and was loseing. Sesshomaru broke the kiss, and pulled Kagome close to him. She rested her hands on his chest.

"Kagome I want you to promise me you will never leave me." Sesshomaru said, this statement taking Kagome by suprise. **Who would have thought the Ice Prince would love me in such a way?** she thought.

"Perhaps, Sesshomaru. I need to take care of Naraku first." Kagome said.

"You will be mine, Kagome. I will make sure of it."
