The room was silent as Kagome made her way to her usual bed in Kaedes hut. After another hectic day of looking for shards, she had finally announced that they either go back to Kaedes village, or she was going home. Though she really had wanted to go home, she had, for some strange reason, been missing the warm advice of Kaede-sama. With a sigh, the miko let her thoughts cloud her mind. /I wish Naraku and Inuyasha would stop all this cockamamie fighting all the time. Im getting sick of it./ She thought glumly.
It just seems to fit

Kagome winced as her back touched the soft fabric of the blankets. If Inuyasha had been there, or even Shippo, they would have said they could smell her blood. Everyone would have started asking questions, and eventually, everyone would have seen the scars that laced her back like ribbons upon a curtain.
/My love asked me to tell them nothing, so I wont. They have no right to know, anyway./ She thought haughtily. /I wish I could be a good girl for my master, just once./ She whimpered as she rolled over to catch some much needed sleep.

Kagome was violently wakened when a firm hand made contact with her face. Suppressing a shocked yelp, the girl turned to face her tormentor. Naraku she breathed. Silence! The aforementioned youkai hissed, and slapped her again.

Silent tears flowed like a river down rosy cheeks as Naraku kissed her tenderly. You know why this must be done. He murmured solemnly, and slammed her head into the floor. Stars danced before her eyes, and still Kagome made no noise. /Hes only reprimanding me for failing to retrieve the last three Shikon Shards, after all./ She thought wistfully.

Naraku tied his Kagome to the bedposts, ripping her shirt as she did so, exposing her back to the cool night air. Down came the whip with a sickening crack. Not a sound was heard from the girl as the leather cut a neat line from her left shoulder to her right hip.

After each horrific crack of the whip, Kagome received a fierce kiss as her reward for remaining dutifully quiet. /Perhaps Im finally doing better./ She thought, and winced as another blow sent her reeling. Another kiss brought her back to reality. Blood coated her silken tresses.

Naraku placed a claw over Kagomes right eyes, and slowly pulled downward. A manic gleam formed in his eyes, his lips upturned in a sadistic grin as he sealed her eye closed. Had he added just a little more pressure, she wouldnt have had that eye to use again. As it was, a lot of energy and time would be given just to re-open that eye.
The hanyou held the fragile girl to his chest, caressing his new blessing on her pale face. You are mine. He whispered softly. Kagome nodded, respect and an unhealthy love for this monster shown clearly on her bloodied face. /He only beats me because he loves me. I must learn to obey my master./ She thought longingly.

Kagome moaned in agony as Naraku traced the path of the almost complete Shikon necklace with his claw, leaving sizzling marks that would, most definitely, scar.
Before another sound could be heard, Kagome felt those same claws ripping new scars down her arms and legs. Down her stomach, over her wet cheeks, leaving her unrecognizable to any save him.

Kagome watched from her place on the floor, surrounded by a pool of her own blood, as Naraku made his way to the window. Regret had hold of her soul. /Why is he leaving? I must have done something terrible to upset him/ She whimpered at the thought.

Naraku turned just before jumping from the window and blew his miko a kiss. Dont forget to clean this mess up before my spell fades. We wouldnt want your silly friends to start asking questions, would we? Kagome gurgled a no. Naraku grinned evilly. Good girl. he whispered. Fresh tears rolled their way down Kagomes bloodstained cheeks. /Im a good girl.../ She thought, happily.

Kagome shuddered and, with a soft sigh, gave in to the gentle pull of unconsciousness, letting the world turn black.
