Kagome rustled through the many scrolls in the small shed.

'Nope. Nada. WTF?!' Kagome's crystal blue eyes widened at the Playboy Magezine.

"Where's is it?" Kagome tossed aside the porno.

"Where's what Kagome?" Came her grandfather's old cracked voice.

"Jii-san! You scared me!" Kagomne cluched her heart.

"Sorry. What were you looking for?" Jii-san rubbed his short gray beard.

"A...um..." Kagome trailed off as she looked down. 'Great Kags! Get busted! Now your never gonna know!' Kagome scowled.

'Will you shut up already?'

'Fine'

"Were you looking for a scroll?" A raspy voice knocked Kagome out of her daze.

"Y-yes."

"Mm. I should've known. You are turning 20 soon."

"Nani?" Kagome whispered loudly.

Jii-san pulled a stool up, and stood on it. He reached up on the third shelf of the small shed, and pulled out a cherry oak box.

"Be careful Kagome. In the Sengoku Jidai, there are many youkai who wish to mate with one of us. But choose in the end." His voice was crisp, sharp, and serious. His coal eyes nearly black.

Kagome took the box, shocked to say the least, and was doing a very good job at being a fish.

Jii-san left the shed, and Kagome ran into her room.

It was true. Kagome was going to turn 20 soon. How soon? Try tommarrow.

She sat on her twin bed and placed the scroll box on her pink blanket. She slowly opened it. And there was a scroll.

What did he mean? Was the only question running through Kagome's mind.

Kagome carefully unraveled the treasure. It was a family tree!

At the top, in black ink, was a small picture of a man, there was a red line from him to a woman. It was Kagome's mother! So they must've been her father.

Kagome tried to remember what his face looked like, but couldn't.

Below it, was herself, and Souta. That was where it ended. No other people.

Below it, was all of the name of the ancestors before them. And on top, in elaborate writing, it read,

'What is this?' Kagome thought.

There was another sheet of parchment.

She read it. Poisen Inuyoukai. That what it said. But she couldn't understand it. Her father was a youkai, she was miko. So now what?

'Unless momma's a...' She broke off her thoughts as she ran toward her mother downstairs.
