She couldn't believe he'd done that. Even after he'd said that he'd loved her, even after she'd given him her heart. It still wasnt enough, not for him. She fell against the side of the well sobbing.

Flashback:

Kagome sighed happily walking through the woods, ocasionally picking flowers. Thats when she heard a scream. It was high pitched and femine. She dropped the flowers and grabbed her bow, and quiver which had magically appeared in front of her. (AN: in this story her Miko powers have greatly increased). Then she started running, and stopped dead. There on the ground in the clearing were two bodies moving and moaning. In that second her heart broke and a wall dropped over her features. Inu Yasha, Inu Yasha and Kikyo?

End Flahback

She was just about to drop back over the well when she remembered that the Jewel was her responsibility not Kikyo's. So she climed back over the well and moved toward where she had left the jewel.
