Lunar Seduction by Inu-youkai_Ariko

CHAPTER I

She stood alone in the clearing. Her happy carefree features were obscured by the stain of her tears as she allowed the late night breeze to dry them from her red and puffy cheeks. She had been brutally attacked with a mountain of unwanted information, very little of which was good news. Her grandfather had been diagnosed with cancer but the disease had been too far along when they had found it to be surgically removed. He had little over a month to live. With her grandfather's impending death her mother would be alone with the shrine and her brother would have to be taken into fostercare. Something her and her mother could never allow, but even this she would have been able to handle. Her granfather had been very old and she new his time hadn't been long. It had been the other news that had broken her heart. It had been decided that she was now of no use to all in the 'pack'. It had been, and to her shock, Sango's idea to bring in Kikyo to take over Kagome's responcibilities. If it had been Inuyasha, Kagome would have understood. After all Kikyo had been his first love and he had seen first hand how well she had been with her miko powers and her control of any situation. Sango's input that Kikyo would be the better miko had been heart breaking. On top of that her kit, Shippo had not made it through the last battle with Naraku.

That day her heart broke 3 times through. She knew she couldn't stay in the feudal era much longer at the moment. She would spend time in her own era for a while. She needed space away from the people here. She needed solitude to mourn for her loved ones and the people she lost, not only physically but emotionally as well. Wiping her hears on the back of the sleeve of her kimono, she had stopped wearing her indecent highschool uniform a while ago. Picking up her trade mark yellow backpack she turned and looked back at the forest, the way she'd come, one last time before she turned and jumped into the well allowing the mystical blue white light to engulf her before she placed a seal on the well preventing any from coming through until she had acknowledged then entry into her world.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~ One Year Later *~*~*~*~*~*~

Kagome had helped around the shrine for the first little while after the sudden passing of her gradfather and her mother's trance like state of grief. After the first 3 months she turned her attention to her little brother. If he was to go back with her to the feudal era he would have to know how to defend himself. She had also had several tens of kimono made which she paid for with the money she had recieved in the feudal era. Who would have know that they would be worth so much in mondern times? She had also ransacked the artifacts storage rooms within the shrine to find weapons that would suit the purpose of the times yet would not give way to the origins of herself nor her brother.

It had also been decided that when they returned to the past they would return as their true forms. They were neither youkai nor human. They were known as something known as the Constructs. A race of winged females that were exceptional in the arts of way and some were gifted with certain magics.Souta had been an odd case. A construct was recreated if the 'mate' was of considerable strenght other wise one could only be recreated during the death of it predecessor. Souta had been an odd case considering that Constructs were only females. Souta's case was never solved.

Kagome sighed. She knew it was time. She had stalled way too long and her pure heart had become tainted. She wanted to prove that she was better than Kikyo. That she was the superior race among the pack. She had been too long.

As they entered the well house Kagome let their concealment spell drop. Her raven black tresses turned a midnight black with dark blue highlights and from her back emerged a pair of giant wings. Her once prestine, snow white feathers were now a brilliant silvery colour with black tips. Her little brother was of the same because as the child he had been raised differently because of his race by the other Construct children because of his unusual gender.

Taking a deep breath Kagome removed the seal placed upon the well and gracefully 'floated' into the well holding the smaller hand of her little brother. Her restless soul had finally come to peace as the familiar blue white light of the well engulfed them, taking them through time to an era where death and danger were as common as a mortal must breath. Because they were no longer travelling as humans Kagome had decided to wear the revealing yet comfortable and exotic clothing of the Constructs in their original habitats. The long silk gown was the colour of the deep midnight sky with silver lace at her elbows and around her neck as a chocker. The gown was like a halter top style, as it showed of her back as well as her flat stomach but wrapped around her waist to fall down her figure like a waterfall and pool around her feet but the gown had two slits at the sides from the tip to the highest point possible up her thigh with out showing her nether regions. The look was exotic in the era of the demons as well as the modern era. Souta on the other hand had decided to wear the traditional kimono of Japan but the colours were more of a while embroidered in silver.

As they emerged from the other side the two spread their wings and rose out of the well only to come face to face with the very people that had pushed her to leave in the first place. But it wasn't them that had the shocked reaction that Kagome had been hoping for. Upon seeing the sight of them her petit and ethereal features turned to that of one watching the worlds scariest movie ever.
