New Enemy, New Allies by cReaT1Ve

Oh CRAP

Hi readers! after reading this don't forget to review!!!

And one more thing recently, while messing with the computer and trying to create space, I accidentally uninstalled Microsoft Office Professional with Front Page...Yeah I know, how could I be that stupid? Anyways I now don't have Microsoft Word too. Which means there will be even more mistakes now than ever. So please work with me here and tell me about my spelling and grammar errors...ok? Good

Now let's get going with the excerpt.

EDIT: Now that I read it over, I see that the first chapter sucks. But please bear with me and read it, skip to chapter three(since two is just a useless A/N) and review....thanks!

Chapter One

******************

"Kagome!!!" Kikyo called, "Get over here!!! InuYasha has been bullying Shippo!!!

Kagome sighed and stood up disappointed that her moment of peace had ended oh-so quickly.

"Inuuuuuu-Yaaaaaaaashaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!"

Stomping her way back to the village Kagome thought about what had happened since the defeat of Naraku. If someone had told her she was going to be friends with Kikyo and trust her just as much as Sango one month ago she would have thought the person had gone insane...yet here she was friends with Kikyo, not crushing on Inuyasha and...stuck here in the feudal era.

* FLASHBACK *

In the middle of the battle just when things were getting serious and dangerous, Kagome had tried to do something on a whim. After checking everyone's positions (surprisingly, everyone included Sesshoumaru), Kagome had called to the rest of the Shikon in Naraku's possession. Her plan and theory worked. Somehow the Shikon had known to go to Kagome and it had flown through the air to Kagome.

Naraku, as expected, was furious, but in the end while Naraku had lost his focus and was only concentrating on killing Kagome, Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru had taken that chance and had, each using their swords, Sesshoumaru and Tokijin, and Inuyasha and Tetsusaiga, they had hit their mark at the same time, ridding him of the world permanently.

Later after about of week of thinking Kagome had come to a decision. She had decided to revive Kikyo.

When everyone realized what Kagome had done they felt bad for their friend and Inuyasha had felt undeniably happy, yet sad. But Kagome had created a mask, something she could hide her true emotions behind. All the mask showed was that she was still the carefree happy girl that everyone loved...so they didn't question her nor worry about her.

Which was exactly what Kagome wanted them to do.

To everyone's surprise even after doing the wish, the jewel remained in Kagome's possession. And even though she did not tell them about this, Kagome started to hear Midoriko.

After a while Kagome had truly started getting over it and she had no use for the mask any more so she threw it away, showing her real self once again, being free. When everyone found out who the original, living Kikyo was like, they all became friends. Kagome, Sango, and Kikyo became inseparable friends who shared everything. But after an incident with a wild youkai and a small child from the village that Kagome was close to, Kagome made a decision. She immediately started receiving training from Kikyo and, faster than anyone expected, Kagome became an unbelievably strong miko. So strong that she actually surpassed Kikyo.

That was when she started teaching herself...or at least that's what everyone thought. In reality, she started receiving training from Midoriko herself not exactly telling her what to do but letting her learn what to do for herself and simply giving her tips and advice.Soon after she completed Midoriko's training and actually started teaching herself, while speaking to Midoriko still sometimes, she realized that it had been a longtime since she had gone home.

'I guess this is where everything started to go wrong...' Kagome sighed still stomping her way over to InuYasha and Kikyo.

***

Kagome had gone to the well after telling everyone but when she tried to go back form some strange reason, the well had rejected her and she had simply gotten a lot of bruises that had healed automatically. Confused, desperate, and in despair she had been sunk deep into the abyss of sadness for quite some while until she realized that if the well rejected her there must have been a reason.

So she decided to stay in the feudal era.

* END OF FLASHBACK *

Leaving her where she was at this moment...

"OOMPF!"

Kagome, holding her head after smacking straight into what seemed to be a metal wall, looked up ready to say sorry...only to look up into the cold disdainful eyes of Sesshoumaru himself, half-brother to InuYasha, Taiyoukai (not sure if it's Taiyoukai or Daiyoukai), and Lord of the Western Lands.

'Oh...wow. I haven't seen this fella since the battle against Naraku...' Kagome thought distantly until her brain registered just what she had done.

Then only thing Kagome could think to say was:

"Shit."

Sesshoumaru, to say the least, wasn't pleased. He raised a perfect eyebrow, 'Hmmm...I wonder if eyebrow pluckers are invented yet...' Kagome thought, and said "Miko, where is InuYasha?" Although he said it more like a command more than a question. Which of course got Kagome a teensy bit mad.

"Well, Taiyoukai, I'm not sure, maybe you should go into the village and check."

Sesshoumaru simply rose an eyebrow again and with a deadly glint in his eye said, "Human, get the mutt here this instant...while I ask politely."

To his surprise (though he didn't show this), Kagome, instead of backing off and doing as he said like most ningens did, stood straighter and, if it were possible, with an even more defiant pose and practically hissed back, "I. Am. NOT. A. Messenger. Nor. A. Servant. NOR am I intimidated by you. So I would expect for you not to treat me as such." She bit out the last sentence with her eyes flashing a bright neon cerulean.

Just as Sesshoumaru's eyes started to darken maliciously, Inuyasha popped out of nowhere.

"Hey Kags, I smell that bastard over here, you o-

...never mind."

Following Inuyasha, Kikyo, Sango, and Miroku appeared as well with Shippo trailing them.

Sesshoumaru casted one more hateful glance at me then walked over to his half-brother and said something no one could have expected....

"You are needed at the palace."

TBC...

Should I leave it off here and just go to sleep like I want to...or keep going? Hhhhmmmmm...

OKAY, OKAY!!! STOP THROWING THOSE THINGS AT ME GUYS!!!

I was kidding, you know, joking???

I'm not THAT evil...

********************************************************************

Everyone stared at Sesshoumaru and time seemed to stop...and Inuyasha replied with the most wittiest intelligent answer ever...

"Huh?"

Sesshoumaru would've rolled his eyes if he could instead he replied with, "You insolent half-breed, don't make me repeat myself. We have an emergency."

"Why, Y-y-you, BASTARD. I oughta-" Inuyasha took out Tetsusaiga angrily and he was about to use Kaze no Kizu when...

"Inuyasha, Sit."

*THUMP*

"If your brother-"

"HALF-brother!" The said brothers chorused.

"Fine, HALF-brother, has come out here to say that he actually needs your help it must be pretty important, is it not?" She asked Sesshoumaru.

'This onna isn't as stupid as she appears...' He mused as he answered her. "Yes."

Kagome looked back at the group and said, "So how about we try listening to him real quick?? And, oh yeah, InuYasha?"

A muffled answer reached her ears "Wha wech?"

(Translation to those who need it: "What wench?")

"Don't think, even for a second, that I've forgotten about you bullying Shippou."

"Aw, F-"

"SIT."

*THUMP*

TBC...Maybe...
