Prologue: That day

Butterfly wings

Exert: "I don't know how I feel about him Sango, it's just every time I see him I feel like there are millions of butterflies flying around in the pit of my stomach."

I know it's stupid but ever since that day I always felt I had to prove myself to them, it's been four years since that day and still I hadn't changed, that is until the new exchange student walked into the room and as our eyes met I blushed for the first time since that day.

Prologue: That day

Four years ago...

Kagome was so excited it was her first day at her school, she'd never been to a new school before but she was sure it was going to be fun, because this year she was entering grade six! As Kagome walked into her new classroom though, all previous excitement went down the drain, There were 30 or so new unfamiliar faces staring up at her.

"Hello you must be the new student Kagome Higurashi, Correct?" Kagome could feel a blush rising to her cheeks." Y-y-e-ss, that's me."

"Alright well go sit down next to Miroku, Alright he's the one in the purple shirt." Kagome nodded, to embarrassed to say anything else incase she would stutter and have the class laugh at her again.

Kagome took her seat next to Miroku and heard a rip as she was sitting down. 'Oh my god these are my favorite pair of jean- W-w-wait a sec, MY JEANS RIPPED!' Kagome's face turned beet red as the class decided to laugh at her misfortune, minus Miroku sitting next to her and two other people scattered throughout the room. As the laughter continued, and at this point even the teacher started to giggle. Kagome's eyes filled up with tears and she bolted out of her chair and the room, faintly hearing as she ran "OH MY GOD SHE'S WEARING HELLO KITTY UNDERWEAR!" With that statement came even more laughter.

By the time she had reached the bathroom Kagome's cheeks were streaked with tears and her face was still beet red, As Kagome looked into the mirror at her reflection she vowed never to blush or make a fool of herself like that again.

That day two girls from her class that she recognized as the only two Not laughing had run in the bathroom after her their names were Sango and Kikyou, from that day on they had been the best of friends, While everyone else bullied Kagome, Sango and Kikyou had her back. As soon as they had convinced her to go back to class, Kagome and Miroku had ended up becoming fast friends as well, and from those three kagome met many other people that she knew would always have her back, But from that day on, she never blushed, never looked another guys way, and when everyone was talking about how cute guys were, she never saw how they could be, that is until she met him...
