Chappie Ichi====> Sesshoumaru's Coming Back

Chapter One== > Sesshoumaru's Coming Back

Disclaimer: If I owned Inuyasha, then Miroku's gay, Naraku's selling shikon shards on ebay, and Kouga hates Kagome and loves Inuyasha. Get the point?? Of course, Sesshie's booked all week for me =)

The rain gently pattered onto the solid, gray concrete. She took a deep breath and counted to ten silently. She entered the building in front of her. Her sneakers squeaked noisily on the marble floor as she made her way down the hall towards a dark red door on the far end of the hall. She reached the door and shed her coat, placing it on the couch outside the door. Looking around, she decided to take it with her. She pushed open the door and walked into the room, closing the door shut behind her.

"Inuyasha?" The woman called out, looking around the dimly lit room. She dumped her leather jacket and Louis Vittons bag onto the red plush couch. She walked around the wooden stool just placed in the middle of nowhere. Sighing, she went back, and pushed the stool to the side. She walked around the room, looking in a few rooms. Where WAS her best friend? It must be pretty weird for her to be living with her best friend, which was a guy. But she totally didn't mind. Inuyasha was her childhood friend. He was there for her whether she was the bad one, or someone bullied her. Of course, there was a period of time when they fell in love with each other, and had gone out for a while, before deciding that being friends was the way to go for them. Inuyasha was a strange person. He had silver hair and amber eyes. He used to have long silver hair, but because of the expensive cost of shampoo, which he wasn't willing to pay because he insists that his money had a better purpose, he cut it. It looked good. And she told him that. Since then, which was 2 years ago, when she had first moved in, she helped cut his hair.

A hand stuck out from the bathroom and she jumped. She poked the door and peered inside. Inuyasha was brushing his teeth. "Fi, Fafofe!" Inuyasha managed, with the toothbrush in his mouth.

'Fafofe' (a.k.a Kagome) gave him a look of disgust. "Yeah. Hi to you too."

Inuyasha grinned and drops of toothpaste foam dropped from his mouth onto his chin.

"EWWW!" Kagome grabbed a face towel, hanging off the wall next to her and threw it at Inuyasha. It landed right on his face. Inuyasha wiped his face off and spat the rest of the toothpaste into the sink. Kagome took a look at the face towel covered with foam in his hands and groaned. "Crap. That was my towel."

Inuyasha laughed. "There are new ones in the cupboard." He gestured to the cupboard beside the towels. She pouted and pulled the cupboard doors open.

She rummaged through the towels, looking for a color and style she liked. "Hey! There are so many new towels. Who's coming over? A new girlfriend?" Kagome asked, pulling out a stack of new towels, folded and wrapped in plastic wrapping. She looked at Inuyasha, who was gurgling the water in his mouth. Kagome wrinkled her nose in disgust. Shaking her head, she placed the stack of towels back into the cupboard. She tugged a light blue towel with a pink heart stitched on, out of the cupboard and hung it up on the rack attached to the wall next to her. She gave one last look at Inuyasha, who was now putting on his deodorant. Sighing, she left the bathroom, and turned the corner to her room. She paused. The room beside hers, the guestroom, also the room attached to hers, was open. It's never been opened before. Well, the years she's been living here (which is only 2), the guest room was never used.

Curious, she ventured into the guest room. Shockingly, the guest room was very big. Well, considering this is "the" Inuyasha Takara's house, it wouldn't be surprising. Kagome looked around. There were posters everywhere. Funny, Inuyasha wasn't into collecting posters of past presidents, and political leaders. Kagome's eyes widened. What was this? The political leaders' hall of fame? Kagome wrinkled her nose, a habit she couldn't get rid of. She walked further into the room and spotted the bed. Ok...the bed sheets had long stripes of black and white. Even the headboard was black. The blankets were folded neatly, and surprise surprise, they were black too. Chewing her lip, another bad habit, she walked over to the office across the room. It was very roomy. She pulled open the glass doors, the curtains rustling noiselessly. She felt the wall for the light switch. Finding it, she flicked it on. There wasn't that much in the room. A few more posters, but they were different. Interested, she walked up to the posters. Using her sleeve, she cleaned off the dust on the posters...no, they were pictures. Surprised, she stepped back from the pictures and took a good look at them. Her eyes widened as she recognized the people in the pictures.

'Inutaisho-sama?' Kagome thought. 'What the hell? Who would have Inutaisho-sama's pictures on the wall? Okay. The new user of this room is definitely NOT Inuyasha's new girlfriend. And by the looks of it, this 'new' user has used this room before.' Kagome decided to ask Inuyasha later. Tearing her eyes away from the pictures, they landed on the black (yes again) work desk a few feet away. It had a few sheets of papers on top of it. Otherwise, it was spotless. Her eyes lit up as she saw the leather chair behind the desk.

She squealed and jumped onto the chair. 'WOW!' She thought. 'It's been sooooo long since I've last sat on a leather chair.' Smiling, she bounced up and down on the chair.

"Kagome?" Inuyasha's voice rang out from the guest room. Kagome bounced off the chair and out into the room.

"Yup yup! I'm here!" She ran up to him, smiling.

"Kagome! What are you doing in here?" Inuyasha scolded. Kagome's smile faded. A pout appeared on her face.

"Welllll, the guest room's door was opened. So, being the curious little bitch I am, I just HAD to come in and look around. So...Who's this room for? Has this person lived here before? Are they boring? It looks like they're boring. I mean, just look at this room. What's with all the black?" Kagome wrinkled her nose as she looked around the room again. Inuyasha's chuckle made her look at him. He was laughing. At her. Suddenly mad, she put her hands on her waist and glared at him. "What's so funny?"

Inuyasha gasped for breath. "Haha, you!" Kagome's eyes hardened. "Well, you're the only one that can ask so many questions at a time." Kagome's eyes softened and she changed her position to crossing her arms across her chest. She stuck out her tongue.

"Now you answer them!" She gave him a friendly shove. Inuyasha's face sort of sagged.

"You do know HIM. Yes, he's lived here before. In fact, he's lived with me before, for the past...um...16 years. He left 2 years ago, right when you moved in. He moved to Kyoto, to go to university for 2 years. Now he's back. I guess you can say he's pretty boring. And...uh...he's pretty into black." Inuyasha said, scratching his head as he looked around the room. Kagome was silent.

"Um. You're dropping hints, but obviously, I'm lost." Kagome flashed him a small, shy smile. A smile used when she was embarrassed that she was so lost. "So. Who is he?"

Inuyasha smiled tightly. "Are you sure you want to know?" At Kagome's determined nod, he sighed and ran a hand through his short silver hair. "Sesshoumaru's back."

Kagome's jaw dropped. "OMGOSH! WHY?? The LAST thing I need is Mister Boring come spend time with us. How long is he staying?" Kagome ran her hands through her hair over and over again, yet another habit she did when she was nervous or frustrated.

Inuyasha pulled her hands down from her head and held them down. "He's coming back for university. He called yesterday and told me the service there sucks and no matter how much he hates me, he HAS to come live with us, because he DID buy this house. And, apparently, I don't know how long he's staying." Kagome sunk into the soft carpet. He sighed. Kagome's head was down, looking at her hands in her lap.

"Come onnnnn Kagome." Inuyasha crouched down beside her. Kagome pouted and looked up at him. "You can't hide it from me." Kagome gave him a puzzled look, once more, smiling that shy smile. Inuyasha rolled his eyes. "You can only play dumb a matter of times. I know how much you like Sesshoumaru." Kagome's eyes widened.

"EXCUSE ME!!?? Like I would EVER like that EMOTIONLESS-" Her voice started out rough, then softened to barely above a whisper as she said the next part. "-handsome, totally suede-" Her voice strengthened again as she yelled the last part. "JERK!" Inuyasha flew back at the attack of her loud voice. Rubbing his ears, he gave her a smirk.

"I heard that." He winked, leaving the room. Kagome fell silent again. Of course she didn't like Sesshoumaru. How was she supposed to fall in love with an emotionless person? No one can survive in a relationship like that. Right?

Inuyasha's voice broke into her thoughts. "Er...By the way, Sesshoumaru's arriving tomorrow. I'll be at the airport by 10:00 ok? We'll be home 'round 11:00." Kagome's eyes widened.

"WHAT!?"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Eventually, Kagome did leave Sesshoumaru's to-be room and shut the attaching door in her room. She changed into her pajamas, a pair of boxers and a tank top and left her room, heading for the kitchen. Her feet made soft sounds on the cool marble floor.
"INUYASHAAAA!" She hollered. Inuyasha was all the way up at the 3rd floor. Probably working out or something. She waited until she heard a somewhat muffled "WHAT?" before proceeding to the cupboard. She pulled out 5 cups of ramen before placing the big question. She took a deep breath. "RAMEN ANYBODY?" She yelled. She turned and screamed when Inuyasha appeared out of nowhere.
"Hi Kagome!" He said cheerfully. Kagome was bent over, a hand over her heart.
"Oh GAWD! Where did you come from?" She asked, glaring at him.
"Oh...From the 3rd floor. I was working out. Now...About that ramen..." His eyes slid from her face to the ramen on the counter.
"Right right, 4 for you and 1 for me right?" She asked, placing the kettle on the stove to boil. Inuyasha gave her a big hug from behind.
"You know me too well that it's not fun anymore." Inuyasha pouted. Kagome laughed.
"I don't see how anyone would WANT to know you so much." Kagome shook her head. "I'm afraid they'd freak out when they find out how entirely gross you are." She smothered a grin as she watched Inuyasha's expression.
"Excuse me? You're calling me gross?" Inuyasha huffed. He let go of Kagome's waist and headed for the table which was set in a different room. "For your information, I am now very, very angry at you." He stomped off into the next room. Kagome shook her head and waited, counting to 3.
1.....Inuyasha stopped.
2....He turned back.
3...He opened his mouth.
"I am not gross..." He pouted. Kagome bounced up to him and patted his shoulder.
"You are just too predictable." She said. "The good ol' 3 seconds timing." She shook her head and tended to the water, which was boiling away. Inuyasha stood there, confused. 'The good ol' 3 seconds timing? Wha?' He shook his head and entered the dining room. Kagome looked back and grinned. He was so much fun to confuse. She turned back and poured the boiling hot water into the 4 ramen cups. She placed the paper lid back on and set her timer on for four minutes. Setting the timer back on the counter, she grabbed 2 pairs of chopsticks and set them beside the ramen. Reaching to the cabinet on her left, she pulled a serving tray out from under a bunch of plates that were hardly ever used. Kagome leaned back on the counter and re-tied her hair into a ponytail. She headed to the fridge and pulled out 2 cans of coke and set them on the tray.
Ding-Ding-Ding-Ding
The timer signaled that the ramen was ready. She hurriedly placed the four cups of ramen on the tray, afraid to burn herself. She placed the 2 pairs of chopsticks on the tray and headed to the dining room, holding the tray.
"Here! Let me help you Kagome!" Inuyasha said as soon as she entered the room. He swiftly grabbed the 3 cups of ramen that were his own along with his can of coke and pair of chopsticks.
Kagome rolled her eyes. "Gee, thanks Inuyasha. That sure helped lift the weight." She set the tray down and began to eat her ramen.
Inuyasha grinned, the half-eaten ramen showing between his lips. "No problem!" He sputtered, little bits of ramen sliding across the table. Kagome groaned.
"You are so disgusting." Kagome looked pointedly at the ramen. Inuyasha looked down to see where she was looking.
He smiled sheepishly. "Ah..um...whoops!" He scratched his head. Kagome stuck her tongue out.
"You have to clean that up." She got up, went to the kitchen and grabbed a towel and threw it at Inuyasha. He caught it and pouted, before starting to wipe the table. She didn't enter the dining room until Inuyasha threw the towel back to her. It landed on her face. She peeled it off, eyes red with fury as Inuyasha laughed, ramen spilling everywhere. Furious, she whipped the towel back to him. It hit the ramen in his hands, causing it to spill all over his face. Her jaw dropped, in mid-laugh. Giggles began to rise up her throat and she bolted out of the kitchen and up the stairs. She sped up as she heard him push his chair back. She laughed and ducked into her room and locked the door. She fell back on the bed, laughing. Inuyasha pounded on her door.
"Kagome! Open this door right now!" His voice rang into her room. She giggled.
"No way!" She yelled back. She heard him back away from the door.
"Fine." He said. Then, she heard silence. She strained her ear. Nothing. Soon, she heard the door opening beside her. 'SHIT!' She thought. She ran to the connecting door that led to the guest room. She leaned against it, desperate to keep it shut. The doorknob turned and she sucked in her breath, holding on the doorknob for dear life. The door opened, and she pressed her weight onto the door, making it close just an inch. 'Shit!' She thought. She rooted her feet and pushed back. Alas, the strength of a well built guy could easily overpower the strength of a 100 pound girl. The door flung open and Kagome flew onto the bed. Inuyasha stormed in, and stretched his arms.
"Okay. Kagome, prepare yourself for a tickle war." He said, in a corny voice that cracked Kagome up. Kagome giggled and ducked under her blankets. Inuyasha pounced onto the bed and started tickling her.
Giggles could be heard throughout the entire house as the night moved on.
