Dear Diary,

It has just come to my attention (after doing some extensive research on the internet of course) as to the reason that Sesshomaru hates and tries to kill Inuyasha so often. It's actually rather simple, I can't believe I never saw it before, mind you, I don't own a dog, I'm a cat person, as seen with Buyo. Still, I have discovered that it's all a dominance issue. No dear diary, I kid you not. You see, Sesshomaru is the alpha dog of his pack, and, even though he might dislike it, Inuyasha is also part of Sesshomaru's pack, and therefore he should submit to Sesshomaru's dominance, but Inuyasha doesn't.

Inuyasha is, essentially challenging Sesshomaru every time we come across Sesshomaru. Hence the reason they always fight. You see dear diary, if Inuyasha would submit to Sesshomaru and acknowledge Sesshomaru's dominance Sesshomaru would leave him alone, but because Inuyasha doesn't acknowledge Sesshomaru's place as alpha male a fight ensues. Sesshomaru is, essentially, putting Inuyasha in his place and re-enforcing his position as alpha.

It's really quite sad that this information won't help us any. Inuyasha will never recognise Sesshomaru's dominance and position as alpha. Still, at least now I know that Sesshomaru isn't trying to kill us so much as put us in our place. Of course...I'm not quite sure where Tetsaiga comes into play then. Of course...it may be because their father was alpha of the pack before Sesshomaru was and when their father chose to gift Inuyasha with Tetsaiga it was like he was undermining Sesshomaru's status as alpha for all time. But that's just a theory, for all I know Sesshomaru just wants it because it has sentimental value, although I highly doubt that that's the reason why.

But all of this leads me to wonder what Sesshomaru would do or how he would act if any of us were to recognise his dominance. Although, I'm not sure is Sesshomaru considers us (as in, me, Sango, Miroku, Shippou, and Kirara) as part of his pack...but I wonder what would happen if he did consider us as such and we were to submit to him. I think Sesshomaru considers Rin and Jaken a part of his pack, and most assuredly Inuyasha, but I'm not so sure of the rest of us. I suppose that means that my question will never be answered, not until Inuyasha concedes submission, and you and I both know dear diary, that Inuyasha would never do that.

Oh well, I suppose that stranger things have occurred, such as traveling through time for example. No, no need dear diary, no need for you to point out that travelling through time is much more likely that Inuyasha bowing down to his brother's dominance. Still, one can always hope for an end to this terrible and bloody sibling rivalry can't they? So now my only other question is why Sesshomaru tells Inuyasha that he's going to kill him...is Sesshomaru just playing around with Inuyasha's head or does he really mean it? It's all very confusing and eye opening at the same time. But that is all for now dear diary, I'm afraid I can hear Buyo's mewls of protest at Inuyasha's treatment of him.

Kagome clung to Inuyasha as he shot out of the well with her in tow. They were back in the Feudal Era of Japan, much to Inuyasha's relief and now lack of complaints. Although, Kagome doubted that her hanyou friend would stop his complaints for long, hence the reason she had brought several extra bags of potato chips with her. He couldn't complain if he was stuffing his mouth...could he? Oh, who was she kidding, of course he could, still, she could always hope.

She jumped off of Inuyasha's back, her yellow backpack that she called the monster in her head because it probably weighed almost as much as she did nearly caused her to topple over but practice kept her on her feet. Of course, the whole, staying on her feet thing didn't work out so well when Shippou's flying form launching itself at her was equated into the whole thing. In the end Kagome landed up on the ground, hugging an overjoyed kitsune to her chest and trying to withhold a large wince when she felt a troublesome rock jutting into her backside. That was going to bruise.

Kagome smiled at Miroku when he came over and held out a hand to help her up. She took it gratefully, that rock really hurt! A loud slap and a shout of "Hentai!" echoing throughout the clearing. Well, it looked like Sango and Miroku still had their healthy relationship, sometimes Kagome wondered if Miroku was a masochist or is Sango was a sadist, maybe they were both? It would just be another thing to add to the list for why they were perfect for each other.

Kagome glanced over at Inuyasha as she thought about couples. It still hurt, she would admit to herself that yes, it hurt very much that Inuyasha would always return to Kikyo, that he would always choose Kikyo over her. But she had come to terms with that fact, albeit painful terms, but she had decided that she was only harming herself by loving him the way she did. Still, somewhere deep inside she still loved him. Perhaps it was just what he represented that she loved? Perhaps she was in love with the way he protected her and, in his own gruff way, cared. Inuyasha would always be her first love, Kagome could only hope that the pain would eventually leave her.

It was then that Kagome realised two things, the first being that she was freezing (something her thought clouded mind had apparently failed to pick up on) and second, the back of her skirt was damp from where she had been sitting on the ground when Shippou had jumped at her. Looking around her Kagome decided that she must have really been out of it to not notice the lick layer of frost that covered everything around her...that and the obvious drop in temperature. Yup, it was official, Inuyasha thoughts were harmful to her health, and no longer just in the emotional level but now on a physical level too...how interesting.

Sighing to herself and readying herself for her toughest battle yet Kagome turned towards Inuyasha.

"Inuyasha." The hanyou turned to look at her, his ears twitching as though he could hear trouble brewing...that or the cold, hard, frosty earth was already calling his name.

"What is it now wench?" Oh, he was just asking for it! Sure, his language had been oddly endearing in the beginning, but after being called wench or woman more times than she could count that particular endearment had lost its lustre.

"I need to go home." Five, four, three, two, one-

"WHAT!?" Oh, that looked like a new shade of red for Inuyasha to Kagome.

"I need to go home, it's too cold for me to keep wearing my school uniform in this weather, I'll freeze."

"Feh. Then you should have thought of that before we left!"

Kagome frowned, what did she look like? A weather detector with the ability to predict the weather 500 years in the past? Unlikely, highly unlikely.

"I didn't know it was so cold here Inuyasha. Now let me go, I could have been back by now, I just need to change and grab some warmer clothes is all, don't make me say it." It was like a magic button, as soon as she even so much as threatened to say the word sit Inuyasha's ears went back, moulding to his head, like he was trying to hide from her. Kagome actually thought it was cute, which may have contributed to the amount of times she threatened him but Inuyasha had no need to know that kind of information.

"Feh. Fine, see if I care, just be quick about it."

Kagome was down the well and transcending through time before she even had time to be amazed that Inuyasha even let her go without her having to resort to subduing him. Maybe he cared a little bit more than he let on?

Thanks for reading! I posted this again...hopefully this time there are saces between my paragraphs...if not then HELP!!
