Fighter

Authors Note: I do not own InuYasha or any of the other cast members and I do not own Christina's song either.

The lights of the nightclub were turned down as a dim spotlight was shone on the stage. Music started to play in the background as InuYasha took a seat with all of his friends in one of the booths near the front. He looked around looking for his girlfriend. She was 30 minutes late, and Kagome was never late for anything especially when it included a club or a party. Slowly the curtain was raised revealing a girl with mid-back black hair that fell like a straight waterfall, with her back to the audience. You could barely see the black rockstar tee-shirt that she had on due to it being so blended in with her hair, but her faded black jeans had tears all over them trying to attract your attention away from her hair. Only a select few knew exactly who it was and couldn't wait for the events planned for this evening to unfold.

Miroku, Sango, Shippo, Rin, and Sesshoumaru all sat in the same booth as InuYasha and most of them also knew what Kagome had planned for her 'boyfriend'. InuYasha had been caught multiple times cheating on his girlfriend by all of her friends, and despite their threats, he continued to see Kagura on the side while dating Kagome. But the problem wasn't that, it was more the fact of what Kagome was going to do to get back at the cheating little prick. She was never a do nothing girl, no, Kagome was a do something girl and that's what she was doing tonight.

A voice spoke out suddenly but softly, sending chills down many human and demon spines alike. One could tell this girl meant business and wasn't to be taken lightly.

The Kagome turned around to face the audience and finally dump her cheating boyfriend. Pouring her soul into her song, she stared straight at InuYasha so he knew the song was for him.

The crowd stared in awe at her voice, everyone knew she could sing, but not like this. Kagome couldn't help but smirk when she saw InuYasha's face. It was priceless.

"Close your mouth half-breed, you deserve everything that you get tonight." Sesshoumaru said coolly with a smirk of his own on the perfect lips of his. He was proud of Kagome, she meant so much to him and it hurt to watch his younger brother play around with her the way he was. If it weren't for his own personal interest in her, Sesshoumaru wouldn't have helped plan this night. He had heard this song on the radio about a week ago and found it fit Kagome perfectly.

InuYasha couldn't understand what was going on. Basically his fantasy world was being turned upside down by the angel on stage and he was having to face reality and it was painful.

Softening her voice Kagome sang on even though she already knew her plan had worked.

"How could this man I thought I knew

Turn out to be unjust so cruel

Could only see the good in you

Pretended to not to see the truth

You tried to hide your lies, disguise yourself

Through living in denial

But in the end you'll see

YOU-WON'T-STOP-ME!"

Now she couldn't help but belt it out to the world letting everyone know that Kagome wasn't taking anymore of InuYasha's lies and cheating.

"I am a fighter and I

Kagome finished off with punching her fist into the air as the crowd erupted into a frenzy of clapping, yelling, whistling, cheering and call for an encore. Kagome bowed, waved and handed the microphone back to the club owner then jumped off the stage and headed towards the booth that held her friends.

"Everyone give Kagome another round of applause!" The owner shouted out to the buzzing crowd as they exploded again.

Reaching the table InuYasha jumped up and began yelling in Kagome's face. "Who the hell do you think you are?!?!?!"

Kagome grinned and put she hand out and shook InuYasha's. " Hi there. I'm Kagome and your new ex-girlfriend. Have a nice life you cheating dick!" And with that she spun on her heels and walked out of the club with her friends close behind her as the song was played again except it was Christina Aguilera's version this time.

InuYasha could only sit back down and try to not look upset. Not that anyone cared anyway.

As Kagome reached her car she turned around and smirked at her friends. "That was so much fun!" She exclaimed as they caught up with her. Praise all around poured down on her except from Sesshoumaru, which she raised an eyebrow towards. "What? Didn't like the show?" She asked him.

"No the show was perfect. I was just contemplating how to ask you out." Came a cool reply from his smirking lips.

Kagome smirked at him. "Well to get your 'yes' you would have to take me and the others out for something to eat then to the club you own."

"Now if I didn't know better, I would think you were after my money there dearest." Sesshoumaru played back.

A delighted laugh came from the now grinning girl, as everyone knew that Kagome was almost if not as rich a Sesshoumaru. And with that Kagome got her dream man, Sesshoumaru. Sesshoumaru got his perfect demoness who had the voice of an angel, Kagome. And the rest got a fun night out on Sesshoumaru.
