Just A Little Fling by Priah
Wedding and Reception From Hell
Okay, i've been wanting to write another story for awhile but could not think of a good storyline. So i was reading this book and I decided that I liked the story it helped.
DISCLAIMER: I do not own the known characters Rumiko does. I also do not own the basic storyline, that is Julie Kistler's. I own any new characters that's it.
Okay now that that it done I'm going to post chapter 1. Hope you like it.
Oh and i will warn now that some of the characters are really OOC. Not much i could do about it. I had to.
----------------------
It was absolutely the worst day of her entire life. She was stuck in the middle of a tiny room with about 15 other people all watching as her older sister married a rich, handsome guy, who she just happened to be in love with herself. Quietly Kagome let out a sigh and looked over at her sister and the groom.
The bridemaid dress that she was forced to wear was hideously itchy and ugly. It had a short skirt which ended about mid-thigh with huge puffy sleeves. The colour was a icky pale green that did nothing for any of the bridesmaids. The boots that they were forced to wear stopped just above their ankles and matched the horrible colour of the dress. In all her twenty-one years alive, she never wished to be somewhere else more that she did at this moment.
Kikyo was a vision in white. Her dress was floor-length with long sleeves. In lieu of a veil she wore her hair down, it reached to her waist, white lily flowers were entwined in the long thick mass. She looked like a princess. Inuyasha Taisho, stood grinning down at Kikyo his amber eyes never leaving hers. He was a half demon with long silver hair that he had pulled back behind his head. He wore a nice, sedate pinstriped tux. His dog ears twitched as he took Kikyo for his wife. Kagome looked away.
Beside her sister, Sango, the Maid of Honor, did her duties with a smirk. Since the wedding had started she had been eyeing the best man. The best man was Inuyasha's older brother, Sesshomaru, a full demon who did not care much for humans. Still he was hot, with the same amber eyes and long silvery hair as Inuyasha, only he had the markings of a taiyoukai and a cool calm that drove most mad.
Kagome lifted the small bouquet that she held in front of her face in order to hide herself yawning, the petals of the flowers tickled her nose and before she could do anything about it she sneezed. Kikyo immediately turned around and looked at the people milled behind her in the small space and demanded to know who had done it. Her tone of voice suggested that she would kill whoever had disturbed her special day. No one owned up to it, Kagome just hid her head deeper into the flowers to hide the blush that stole over her features. Not wanting to look at Kikyo she let her gaze wander over to Sesshomaru. He was looking right at her which made her blush all the more. He raised an eyebrow, then turned his attention back to the ceremony.
Finally it was all done. Almost single file they trudged out of the small cramped hall. Kikyo and Inuyasha marching out first, followed by Sango and Sesshomaru. Two other couples followed them before Kagome, escorted by her courterpart, Miroku, a good-hearted man with a wandering hand. They watched as Kikyo and Inuyasha got into their long, black limo and drove off.
"So what are we supposed to do now?" Kagome asked Miroku after Kikyo and Inuyasha had left.
"I take it you weren't listening to Kikyo when she said what she wanted?" chuckled Miroku. When Kagome shook her head, he laughed and mimcked what her sister had said. "Don't dawdle, just go straight over the the reception hall. We'll meet you there."
Kagome could not help but laugh as Miroku as he offered to give her a lift to the hotel the reception was being held in, his hand slipped down and gently groped her ass for a second before she slapped him away. He feigned heartbreak and innocence, she just laughed. Regretfully she declined and said that she needed her car and would see him there. Fifteen minutes later she made it to the reception. Inside she had no idea where she was supposed to go. Wandering in she looked for any of the other members of the wedding party.
"Hey Kagome!" called out Kirara, one of the other bridesmaids. Smiling Kagome walked over to where the sassy cat demoness sat with her legs pulled up under her. She had let her long black and blond streaked hair down and had ditched the bridesmaid's worst nightmare dress. Instead she wore a slick red dress.
Kagome gratefully slid into the open chair beside the demon."Ahh, heaven." she exhaled tilting her head back.
"Boy, aren't you glad that the wedding from hell is over with?" Kirara asked as her red eyes searched over the crowd of people that began to fill the large reception hall. Many people had been invited to the reception and not the actual wedding.
"You have no idea. I just hate that after this I have to drive for another half an hour before I get to my hotel." she commented absently with a touch of anger.
"You're not staying here?" Kirara asked confused. As far as she knew everyone invited to the wedding, even the reception had been given a room in the hotel.
"No." Kagome answered curtly. "I had to pay for a hotel a little ways away because I'm not headed home tonight."
"But - -"
"Look, I'd rather not talk about it." mumbled Kagome as Kikyo and Inuyasha made their entrance. Kirara gave up and followed Kagome's gaze. Right after the bride and groom was the maid of honor and the best man.
"What I wouldn't give to have Sesshomaru all to myself tonight." purred Kirara.
You and every other girl here. thought Kagome with a smile. Kirara spotted a waiter heading in their direction and hailed him over. He was a handsome man with long dark hair and demon red eyes.
"Can I help you?" he asked a little too kindly.
"You sure can hon." replied Kirara "We sure could use some drinks." She winked at him and smiled. "Think you can help us out?"
Instead of answering turned his back on them and left rudely. Returning later with the drinks Kirara asked for. He scowled at them as he gave them drinks, then rudely left them again.
"Ain't he sweet?" Kirara laughed. Kagome cracked up right along with her.

He was going to kill someone. It was that simple. Everyone kept telling him to smile, and kept snapping pictures of him with Inuyasha, his new wife and the maid of honor who kept trying to seduce him. It was enough that he was ready to bolt upstairs and wait until the reception was over and done with.
Instead he put his emotionless mask into place and calmly escorted his counterpart into the hall. As soon as humanly possible he detached himself from the maid of honor and headed over to the open bar. If he was going to make it through the rest of the night he would need some fortification.
"Hey there." The maid of honor sidled up to him.
He nodded his head, not really caring enough to remember her name.
"Sango." she told him. He just raised and eyebrow. She leaned against the bar and tilted her head at him. "You know, I was hoping that I wouldn't be left alone tonight."
"Really?" he voice was coldly calm.
"Yeah, I mean the tradition of all weddings is that the maid of honor and best man get together on the wedding night. Or didn't you know that?"
Sesshomaru got the hint. He just didn't care. "Is that so?" he asked absentmindedly, not really paying much attention.
Undeterred Sango leaned over kissed his ear and whispered a suggestion to do something that he wasn't quite certain was even legal. He almost choked on his drink. Almost. Instead he turned to her. He looked at her, even though she was a human she was perfect for what he had in mind. One night of nothing but sex. That was all that someone like Sango was good for. He reached into the pocket of his tux and withdrew a key, on the key, the light illuminated the engraved 205. With a little smirk, Sango languidly stretched, picked up the key and placed it in the small icky green purse that was identical to all the bridesmaid's.
"See you later." she crooned and flitted off somewhere.
Sesshomaru turned back to his drink. There was only one way that he would be able to get through the rest of the night, especially if Sango was going to be sharing part of it with him, he had to get roaring drunk and forget about this entire thing. That was the plan and he was going to stick with it no matter what.
